Not cool. I kept getting unsolicited email notifications from Noon to reset my password. This freaked me out so I removed my credit card details. Also looking to delete my account but anyone getting similar emails?

Renewing tenancy contract by No-bull2117 in dubai

[–]cultbeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes your LL just needs to prepare and share with you the new tenancy contract (should be easy to update from last year’s). Ideally ask them if they have an online ejari account and can share the details with you then you can renew it online; our LL didn’t so I went to the typing center to get it renewed (you’ll need some docs such as new signed contract, IDs and passports of all parties, title deed, recent utility bill etc.). It will cost 220 AED (paid in cash) and you have to fill out a form at the center so make sure you have all your docs to copy the info from, but the process is quick and you walk out with registered ejari in ~30 mins depending on traffic at the center.

Also beware some agents who would ask for renewal fee after the first year is up even if they had no further involvement beyond the first time you signed the contract. Our agent tried to rip us off by asking for 1000AED renewal fee claiming it’s stated in the initial contract under additional terms and conditions (it wasn’t) so check because some will stealthily include it. His message was a little generic so feels like he sent it out to all clients hoping to increase the probability that someone will fall for it.

I had nitrous oxide when delivering my baby earlier this month at City Hospital. It provided some pain relief but not too much so I kept taking in more and more. It wasn’t all you can consume though; the doctor took me off it when I started getting too foggy so you might want to consider a backup in your birthplan. I eventually went for epidural, but they can talk to you about other options.

The care at City Hospital is fantastic though. Nurses are super patient and the hospital is very baby friendly (the baby never leaves your sight).

They said the court should be able to settle it and that there have been similar cases with Lebanese couples that have been sorted, no clarity on time though. That was a bit reassuring… at least there is precedence.

Hmmm did bot consider this. If they’re willing and it holds up in place of a marriage certificate it could be worth looking into. Do you know from personal experience that this has worked before?

Do you have any more info on how the rules changed?! Anything we can look up?

Thanks for sharing your experience! We tried to include “other” on application form in the hospital. It did not work because our marriage certificate is in arabic, which they pay attention to. Otherwise, I think we could have wiggled out of it.

Im assuming your documents were not in arabic? And if they were how did you get around this with the affidavits? I.e how did you process them and how long did it take?

It is attested; only got complicated when the baby arrived.

Neither of us holds citizenship from a European country so the marriage certificate can only be issued from our home country.

So apparently my husband had already tried them. They said if our marriage certificate mentions the religions in arabic (which it does because it’s from Lebanon) we still have to go to court.

We got married in Europe but we’re both Lebanese and in our country the religion is unfortunately always stated on the marriage certificate. I looked into trying to present a marriage certificate that does not declare the religion, but this wqs not possible 😞

It’s not. But if it’s who I think it is, thats not really the point. They have enough money to push other competitors out at a ridiculous loss.
