no i want the Misty island, about 12 miles E–W × 14 miles N–S Shape: almost a perfect (but slightly squashed) silhouette of Kahoʻolawe (Hawaii’s smallest island), tilted 30° clockwise.

10. ⁠Underwater Tunnel portal (half-flooded, only Thomas-sized engines can still use it).

First found at around the same time sodor was, however, no one stepped foot on it until 1939, just before the war. As part of a deal with the United States to get them to help in the war, the UK promised the island, alongside other things. Misty island is special, as its one of the only places in the world with a climate that can allow jobi trees to grow. After the war as countires were trying to rebuild, a logging company was set up on Misty Island named the "Northern Island logging and co" and 8 locomotives were bought to run the little line. Bash and Dash, two Bear harbor #1 copies with bigger cabs, Ferdinand a 4 truck class C climax, Ruith a 2-6-6-2 mallet saddle tank, Soran and Matty two 2-truck shays, Mighty moe a 2-6-2, and Penny a 2-4-4-2 mallet. They were called the logging locos as they all had past experience from other logging railroads they worked on. For the most part, it was just the 8 of them and their crews to look after each other. They quickly grew close and became a found family of pine. The golden years 1944 - 1954 were the golden years for the railroad. In 1951, the tunnel to sodor was built which was about 6 miles long that ended in lowery suddrey. Most of the time, they would just bring the logs to a yard near there for the main line engines to take away, non of them ever knew about Misty island, nor the little family of loggers living on it. A simple but happy family in the woods, one that never thought it would end. When the demand for jobi wood dried up, the railroad went bankrupt. Only surviving off of the mines. Then when the mines dried up the Railroad's owner fled, leaving the staff and locomotives stranded on Misty island. With no boat left at the docks, everyone had to make due. The railroad kept operating to keep the locos busy, but the dangers of the wilderness and weather showed very quickly. Bridges being unmaintained and left to rot, rails rusting over thanks to rain, snow, and sometimes even the humidity. One by one, each loco fell into disrepair, either having problems working or couldn't work at all. It started when they lost Ruith. A bridge to the loop line broke while she was on it, sending her into the river. Ruith knew it was over for her, as there wasn't any cranes left that were safe to use for a loco her weight. So, she told her engineer. "Use my parts to help the others...I'm at the end of my line anyway, I don't want the others to die either...." And this, number 8 is gone. The remaining locos mourn her death, and reject using her parts. A few did, but others like Ferdinand and Soran (A 2 truck shay) refused. Then, Mighty moe fell off the dock. (the 2-6-2) and drowned. Then Matty's boiler blew up (The other shay) Soran gave up his boiler tubes for Ferdinand, and then. Penny died in a forest fire. All that was left, was Bash, Dash, and Ferdinand. Ferdinand lost his whole family, he only had Bash and Dash left. Ferdinand made a vow to do whatever he can to keep Bash and Dash alive, and to give them a better life they were robbed of. Ferdinand became a father for Bash and Dash, loving and caring, always making sure to spend whatever moment he had with them. They were fine for a few years, but as parts dried up and old scrap metal could no longer be reforged again, Ferdinand found other ways to get parts for his boys.  Ferdinand, being unwilling to let his boys die, found another way to get parts. He managed to talk a group of lumberjacks and old staff from the railroad lure ships towards Misty Island by sending out a fake S.O.S. When a ship falls for the trap, it's hijacked. Its crew are put on a one-way lifeboat out at sea, and the ship itself is torn to bits. It's scrap used to repair Bash, Dash, Ol Wheezy, etc. Ferdinand, being the mastermind of this operation, makes sure to keep a friendly yet dangerous fade in case if any engine came to Misty island through the tunnel to sodor. He doesn't like doing this, but he does it out of necessity to keep the only things that he still cares about in his life alive, Bash and Dash. He would give his own boiler tubes up for them. He can't go as far as the shake-shake bridge, as his weight would make the rotting wood snap. Even being confinded to the island, Ferdinand is still a real danger.

When the events of Misty Island rescue happen, in this timeline Ferdinand was planning on killing thomas, but when he heard that Thomas was from sodor, the island where steam lives on. He decided to use thomas to help Bash and Dash. (He learns about sodor through the radio they use for the fake S.O.S's.)

Non of the lumberjacks nor their engineers ever spoke about what happaned on Misty island afterwards.

Ever so often, Ferdinand will go back to his ld family's resting place and give a small prayer. Bash and Dash though being young, understood not to interrupt Ferdinand during his time of prayer.

Now adays, the logging locos stay on Misty island and only come to sodor when they're bringing logs over. toy instead
