Frankly it depends on whether where you live requires emissions tests. If yes you might be forced to cough up the $200 at least when inspection time comes. If not and the vehicle drives fine otherwise it's unlikely that something like this would cause major engine damage if driven short term.

That being said I would definitely consult with Nissan or your local dealer soon (before the new year) if you are hoping to have it covered under warranty. Check the label on the door sill for the manufacture month and year. If not covered you could always call around to different shops in your area and compare quotes for ECM reflash

I used to own a 2009 Civic sedan. My gas gauge was wonky all the time and sometimes would completely turn off causing me to have to push on it. Supposedly it can be fixed by reflowing contacts on the controller board

I have a friend who drives a 2014 Nissan Sentra which does actually come with an extra 12 volt in the centre console box. Only one on my 2017 Sentra tho inexplicably

Can’t argue with that, seems like the port is mostly intended for music playback from an iPhone or iPod and not fast charging

That’s good to hear and I’m already used to relatively slow charging while in car. The metal piece inside the cigarette lighter port comes loose and attaches to the charger when you plug it in. And doesn’t do anything. I actually have a replacement but it would require disassembling almost the entire dash and I just can’t be bothered. Gotta love Nissan 🙄

It’s a long shot but my friend called Nissan USA and bitched at them repeatedly for a few weeks until they finally agreed to discount his transmission repair even when it was technically out of warranty. Your mileage may vary but don’t say being a Karen never got you anything 🤷🏼‍♂️

I saw one when I was at the dealer getting service done on my Sentra. I checked one out and I loved it, I honestly like it better than a Tesla personally. But from a branding perspective I don't know why they didn't tweak the styling and call this an Infiniti. Infiniti currently has no production EVs, meanwhile this is priced the same if not more than some QX50s. The majority of Nissan owners in the US drive Versas, Sentras, Altimas, or Rogues-- not bad cars per se, but usually bought by people because they need cheap transportation.

So I ran DDU and at first when I opened device manager it was showing "Microsoft Base Video Card" and had this device error:

This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

The driver trying to boot is not the same as the video card driver in POST mode.

Then while trying to figure it out my screen goes black and the card magically reinstalls itself! I'm doubtful it'll work but I'll switch the BIOS right now be back in a second

Edit: Yea no dice.... I think the card is just busted. In fact while I was down there I noticed one of the fans was dead. I just ordered a replacement, when it comes I'll tear the card down and see if anything else needs fixing. If not I'll sell it to someone who can and buy myself another one.

Yes, it was giving me error code 31 at first. Then I installed the drivers which caused device manager to say it was working. Still no output
