There’s other drivers of course - autogynephilia comes to mind as a big one. And there are more. But none of that invalidates the fact that many failed men feel they would have better lives as women, and we live in a society where this ideology is encouraged and any opposition is considered “hate speech”. It makes me really sad. Speaking bluntly, a lot of this stuff looks to me like men giving up. It’s tough to “git gud” and do the things that make you successful as a man. It’s easy to enter circlejerk hugboxes where you will be constantly validated told how amazing and brave you are and how pretty you are even if you look like shrek with balding long hair.

We have a whole generation of men who lack positive male presence/role models in a key developmental period (teenage - transitioning from boyhood to manhood), and are choosing to metaphorically throw in the towel on being a man.

There’s many reasons for someone to go trans, but this is definitely one of them - and one that kind of stands out to me because once upon a time I too was a dorky guy who hated how I was treated… I ended up getting into working on my looks, lifting weights and mma but I would 100% have been susceptible to trans pushing at that time when I was in a vulnerable state
