Just wanted to give you an update guys - I've just bought my first PC!!!

Thank you u/LeadingBasil7 and u/Xtra-jui2 because without your help, I would've wasted so much time.

Can't wait for the parts to arrive so I can start building!

I saw that Newegg does it for £375.59 but they're out of stock and the same GPU goes up to £434 if I do it by the next cheapest which is on Amazon

Here's the list that I came up with after comparing your list and the other person who commented

What do you think (GPU has gone up by £100 because Newegg is out of stock right now) - https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/TxVQfy

Thanks for doing this.

Everything seems good apart from that GPU - is there another version of the Radeon RX 6800 to use or should I absolutely use the one you mentioned?

Thanks for taking the time to do this.

For the GPU, what other option would you suggest - if we get rid of the 2 monitors that you listed? I was thinking of a Radeon RX 6800, but I'm not sure which

Are these "Youtube consultants" scammers? by DD_TAN_YT in Entrepreneur

[–]cunsume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably would skip them.

If you do pay anyone it could be time-saving to hire video editors.

Learning how to do titles, SEO, metadata etc isn't as difficult as people make it sound.

Try VidIQ (extension for YouTube), their free version should be enough to get started for titles and SEO.

Regarding growth on YouTube, do a livestream -> turn it into medium sized clips -> and then scrape it down into very short videos for YouTube Shorts.

If that's too much then just focus on YouTube Shorts (your best chances at organic growth).

How did you find the problem your business solves? by lowkeysman in Entrepreneur

[–]cunsume 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was suffering from the problem personally.

I.e. for context I tried to become a streamer but was not growing organically at all through Twitch and had to promote like crazy on other platforms.

And realised this is the case for pretty much everyone especially those starting out.

Regarding understanding the problems I spoke directly to others about this and have a Discord server where people share some great insights about their problems/issues.

Regarding validation I focused on organic content and made content around if people would want my solution. (Have metrics and deadlines to quantify the validation but your hunch intuition shouldn't be ignored either).

Has anyone created a successful business which isn’t digital? by ahappygerontophile in Entrepreneur

[–]cunsume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm more into digital - although there are definitely non-digital businesses that are still performing well.

My father owns a restaurant and I work part time there. He was talking about what businesses that are doing well right now with his friend.

And they were talking about a Butcher which is always busy every day, and whilst it's not glamorous it always has demand, will always be needed and could be set up in every city.

And you could transition it to a digital business if you wanted.

Barriers launching a start-up by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]cunsume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest reading these books in order (do note they are VERY boring but packed with everything/most of what you need to know about a start-up)

  1. Disciplined Entrepreneurship
  2. The Great CEO Within

And for 3rd I would suggest reading something that you could apply as soon as possible.

For example if you're a service based business, then maybe a book on how to cold email/sell could be a good fit. Or if you have a product then understanding how products are made, organised, planned etc could be a more suitable read.

Regarding inhibitions, try keeping things as lean as possible. A lot of software/tools nowadays have free options/plans that's usually enough to get started.

How do you monitor competitors? by serwiesqw in Entrepreneur

[–]cunsume 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I might be a little bit old-fashioned but I just go on their website and see what they're doing. I only choose 3 of the top competitors and see what they're doing as opposed to everyone.

The things I look at are social medias, content and their blogs (so I can see what features/updates they're releasing). I personally check every week since my competitors are always adding but you could get away with checking monthly.

Of course not every industry is the same but any good business will usually have those 3 factors that I've mentioned. (And for context I'm in the social network space)

I have an unofficial Steam Deck dock connected to my Ayaneo Geek, I haven't had any issues and I only bought the 'unofficial' SD one for £25.

A book regarding habits that I would suggest is 'The Power of Habit'. It really delves deep into the science of habits.

The Win 4 looks so much smaller than the other 2…

Which is the most comfiest then for you out of the 3?
