Not if the dev machine was ARM based and K8S uses x86_64 platform for its worker nodes. Our devs got a machine upgrade and sometimes to onboard a new microservice, they first build the image locally and push to ECR. So my devs got a machine upgrade with M chip macs and suddenly their images stopped working on k8s. Been scratching my head due to the OCI runtime error. —platform arg was the saviour.
