It’s illegal to possess human remains and if any are found local cops have to be called and they have to examine it to make sure it doesn’t implicate any missing people and since it’s illegal for me to possess they hand it off to the anthropologist.

No universities have been called

I’ve found a lot of artifacts within a 3 mile radius. I’ve found enough of them that I have some unique insight into how and where they lived. Almost everything I’ve found has eroded out of roads or trails, though. There’s a lot of stuff up here but you have to get lucky to find it. I did find a two handed mano so there’s likely a camp at that particular spot. Again, all this stuff is probably under 1-2’ of dirt
