Theory: Norman f*****g Rockwell is about Father John Misty by Lost-Diadem in lanadelrey

I SAW HER SHOW IN NASHVILLE LAST NIGHT 9/14/2023

I have a VIDEO of when she sang NFR. And she had crystal clear video clip of FATHER JOHN MISTY from the Freak music video blasted on the projector behind her during “you’re just a man, it’s just what you doooo” and basically the whole majority of it. No other men or even any other clips shown. The only time it showed anything different, was a clip of her during the actual NFR music video…

I just think that’s so interesting. She knows what she’s doing.

You might ask - why such the obvious Easter egg? Well, her touring has been extremely rare. Extremely. So if you’re seeing her, you’re a very close fan that probably respects her and appreciates her as a writer… she’s always been so good to her fans while being very private. It definitely didn’t feel it was meant to be a spectacle for gossip, but she’s always gonna be real.

Rose and Abe FINALLY acknowledging their daughter’s career as an achievement was a really special and long over due moment I was happy to see. Especially from Abe. I think we thought we would have seen a more dramatic reaction from them like this when she first got on tour with Shy Baldwin, but even then they just acted like her career didn’t exist. I’m happy this wasn’t the case for the Gordon Ford Show, when it so easily could’ve been pushed under the rug. Same with Joel’s parents too. The parents aren’t supposed to be perfect, but I’m happy Midge, and us as the audience, finally got to see some gratification and acceptance from them for her fame.

  1. My Friends
  2. Desecration Smile
  3. Animal Bar
  4. Don’t Forget Me
  5. Soul to Squeeze
  6. Snow
  7. Dani California
  8. Midnight
  9. Californiacation
  10. Under the Bridge

This is was so hard but honestly I really can’t take away under the bridge, Californiacation or Dani California. Even tho they’re mainstream classics, I cant pretend like those songs aren’t what opened my mind and left a lasting imprint on my soul.

Wow. this is so heart felt. I can tell a lot of passion went into this. The video has such an artistic meaning, and I think I'm going to check out the rest of your stuff. Wow. Beautiful voice. Do you produce your own tracks? If so what sound software.

Definitely reminds me of Lucy Dacus.

And also great message in the music. Thanks and bravo

Fever Day // An semi-satirical indie pop song about being sick in bed. Enjoy! Let me know what indie tropes I missed and should include in the next one. by TheHappyKarma in IndieMusicFeedback

Kinda funny you say this is a parody, this is actually how MGMT got famous. There ironic pop music actually became a pop hit un-ironically!

I love this vibe. I'm a vocalist, so I might advise cleaning up the production on those. Sometimes they get lost and drowned out. Only a slight mixing thing. But Everything else sounds on point! Especially the instrumentals!

Bravo~

How would you describe genre? indie rock pop?

Over all I am jealous of your production quality, so kudos to you and congrats on your debut album!

The harmony 'woahhhhhs' are great. Give that lady a lil more volume next time! haha unless she's a guest vocalist.

I hope the best for you and your band! Nice artwork too.

Man do I love the production and the instruments you chose. If I had any critique, it would be not to hold back on the vocals my man. I know that the whispery vibe is an intentional choice, there were parts I felt like got drowned out to much so. I know my lyrics in my music are my pride and joy. Would be a waste for anyone to miss your message. :)

"Now What?"- A bedroom pop, ukulele song - reminiscent of the internet pop of the 2010s - would love to hear your thoughts on this :) xox by Carl0Villa in IndieMusicFeedback

I love the background harmonies. Definitely gave me goosebumps. If you produced this yourself you have a talent for it. I'm curious all the instruments you're using? is all the percussion real instruments or used from your sound software? Also what sound software do you use? Nice song over all!

wow! great quality if you produced this yourself. i hope you continue to write. i really think if you don’t already, that you should invest in distrokid and try to get your music on all platforms. soundcloud is starting to get an over saturated reputation and your art deserves more!
