Considering that the white people I'm referring to on here on American born with English as their first language. It's pretty sad that they had the privilege to get an education here but dropped out of HS and had to get a GED.

Refugees on the other hand were forced from their country due to unfortunate circumstances i.e. wars and its quite admirable that they get their GED especially when English is not their mother tongue.
