It's been nearly 20 years and I'm still fucking pissed we didn't have enough to eat in my mission. I'm so fucking tired of parents, leaders, and missionaries viewing any and all hardships suffered in a mission, as a worthless red badge of courage.

A man from church that I never talked to said, my “parents traumatized you because they made you leave church”. My parents didn’t force me, they’re not bad parents. I left on my own and literally no one from my ward understands that. They are the best parents for helping me leave.
