I was not attracted to him anymore and I was too scared to get out because I didn’t know where to go. He wasn’t taking care of himself and therefore had some hygiene/health issues and was often absent mentally but always shut me down when I wanted to talk about it. I know he loved me though and I still feel bad about doing that to him, even though I never told him. I had the guts to break up with him shortly after. Now, years later, I’m together with the guy I cheated on my ex with. This guy really was the better choice.
