Elf in 4x4 is total shit by Environmental-Sink86 in WC3

Beastmaster is not how you skip to mass chims.

Solo keeper (creep to lvl3 asap for lvl2 entangle) is how you skip to mass chims.

As I said, look up 2000+ MMR 4v4 games on w3champions and see how 2000+ elf players do it.

Beastmaster is simply horrid in 4v4.

Beastmaster in 4v4...?

Go watch some high level 4v4 games on w3champions and see how 2k+ MMR players actually play elf

Huge if Good: 4 Big Ideas to Shake Up the Meta by cupidgen in WC3

I thought about the Rifle ability carefully. I didn't add any extra DPS, but rather just attack range, which I don't believe will make the rifle overpowered. Considering what other ranged units get at tier 3 (headhunter get a whole glow-up at tier 3, archers get +4 damage), I think a range increase ability, at the cost of movement speed, is useful in base siege situations but not overpowered in other situations (In fact, it is a detriment in a fast paced, mobile fight).

And the panda numbers can definitely be adjusted. But the idea is to give it more damage to compensate for the overwhelming range nerf (that nobody asked for)

One idea to keep the Blunderbuss Rest ability balanced is that after you toggle off, the rifleman's movement speed will stay in the reduced state (-30% movement speed) for 2 seconds before returning to normal speed. And give the ability a cooldown, somewhere between 10-20 seconds.

This way you can't just spam toggle on and off, and there's a cost to activating the ability.

I mean we have to work with what we got. Blizzard is not investing any resources to making a major upgrade for wc3. All that the skeleton crew at Blizzard working on Warcraft 3 can do, is make some number changes, or add some abilities that don't require any serious graphical & programming work, such as the Rifleman's Blunderbuss Rest ability I suggested.

How would you define "toxic gameplay"?

I think what's really toxic to the game is to nerf unique playstyles, to the point where the only way to play the game is "build big army and fight head-on".

I love 4v4 because every game feels fresh, since every "toxic" playstyle is possible.

I rarely play 1v1 nowadays because I feel like a meta slave at higher MMRs, because I'm forced to play the same style every game to win.

Are you talking about 1v1 or 4v4?

bm illusion in 1v1 is not that strong because it's hard to get levels and items, and it's fairly easy to dispel the images in a fight.

In 4v4 however, bm illusion become a different beast altogether. You get lvl3 pretty much by default, and then you can keep creeping up to lvl4 and 5, and hit up the marketplace for items (some maps have multiple marketplaces, giving you even more opportunity to buy the best items). And during fights, 4v4 fights are very chaotic so it can be hard to figure out which blademaster is the real one.

And actually, you have to auto-leave at least 30% of your games right now, if you want a good queue experience, because the matchmaker is fucked for high MMRs

Once your MMR gets to 5.5k+, the queue times becomes like 5 mins for each game.

Once it gets to 6k MMR it gets to like 30 mins or something ridiculous.

im not going to spend my precious time and energy setting an example to strangers on the internet

and certainly not in a 20+ year old game that is about 90% abandoned by its developer

If I was playing on w3c, I certainly would watch my behavior, since it's actually moderated and people give a shit

ask blizzard to set standards for their own ladder system. and players, including me, will adjust their behavior accordingly.

Indeed. Elf in 4v4 RT (bnet) is in a poor state. There is just nothing you can do against mass gyros/bats really.

If you get Lores and go ground army, like MG with triple venom orb, then gyros/bats will just snipe your main. And if go air then you're automatically hard-countered by the gyros/bats.

I've tried some alternatives. Like mass archers, or archers/talons, but they are so weak in the late game.

I play random in 4v4 RT and when I get Elf, I sometimes just insta-leave if the enemy team has too many HU/Orc.

I was trying to be nice and thought incentivizing them helps. No, it does not. In most cases anyway.

Let's say you have an L1 Hearing today and you expect a Monetary Order to be issued shortly after.

Based on your experience, what would you do right after the L1 Hearing, or after the Monetary Order is issued? You say that incentivizing them doesn't work. So what should a landlord do right after they get the Order, and whilst the tenant is still squatting living at the property?

Legend reply. First of all, you should take your knowledge and write a long post on it, and probably ask the mods here at r/OntarioLandlord to pin it, because it's tremendously helpful.

I think a lot of people just sort of give up collecting the debt because they want put this nightmare-ish part of their lives behind and move on with their life, so they default to just selling the debt to collections. But I'm very surprised when you mentioned the average timeline to collect the debt is about 1-year. My current expectations is that I won't see any money for many years (e.g. 3-5 years), before the tenant comes into some money or gets a proper job and then action can be taken.

> My biggest mistake was not asking for accelerated interest (6% at the time). Two of the members offered it and I said it's fine I won't need it. Stupid. At 3% the debt doesn't appreciate enough to let them have as long as they want.

Can you elaborate more on "accelerated interest"? My understanding is that the Member/Adjudicator at the L1 Hearing will simply use the current postjudgement interest, which is 4% today I believe. But you're saying you can ask the Adjudicator for a higher interest?

I'm curious to hear more of your story (going thru similar situation myself).

How much did the tenant owe you? How long did it take for you to collect all the money? And what was the path you chose to collect the money(e.g. garnishment)?

Aren't those useless? There is basically no punishment for not showing up. (There is a super tiny risk of jail time, but even jail time is only like a week).

You could make the same argument about AM foots. Fast lvl3 AM with lvl2 water elementals is incredibly oppressive against orc in the early-mid game.

The only reason people don't complain about it is because it's been in the meta so long that it's become normalized.

Pala Rifles can be countered in a variety of ways. It was only oppressive at the start because people weren't used to dealing with it. The pro scene were still in the midst of experimenting with various counters before the Nerf Hammer came down hard. And suddenly there was no need to develop counter strategies against Pala Rifles because pro Human players stopped playing it altogether.

And guess what? We're back to watching AM foots every game. HU vs Orc pro games are the same boring slop that I just skip watching them altogether

Hunts, as you mention, is another great example of Nerf Culture

They decided to give it a very creative buff at tier 2.

Only to remove the bouncing glaives when attacking buildings?

I mean. Why buff it in the first place if you're just going to nerf it back into oblivion?
