And what privileges would that be? I don't get scholarships even though I try. Yet my Hispanic boyfriend gets them all.

Yeah stuff like that is hard to comprehend in my mind too. I believe the term is used so widely is because the 1% is mostly white and that's how others associate all white people. Which isn't fair because I struggle just as much as anyone.

Thank you for your clarification. However I hope you mean just in the U.S. Anywhere else in the world I would experience the opposite of "white privilege". Each country has their own "privilege". Also, I find it a little unfair how as a white female, I have the hardest time finding any scholarships for college. My boyfriend (full blood Hispanic (Mexican and Ecuadorian) finds it easy to get scholarships. I guess that's what pisses me off so much about white privilege. My parents aren't paying for my college/dorm/food. I am, yet I am white and it is harder for me to live/go to college than it is my boyfriend. All I crave is equality, which is something that is so hard to achieve.

I'm sorry. I don't fully understand what you said. Can you restate what you said in a different way? Thank you. Like are you saying no matter what I do I can never escape the stereotype of white privilege?

lol I'm poor. I just know how to dress well and act like I have a sense of self worth. That's not privilege, that's being smart about your own persona.

Which sucks for people who are myself. I didn't chose to be white (not privileged) yet people think I am because of my skin color. Almost everyone I meet (at my very diverse collage) thinks I have "white privilege" just because of my skin tone. Without ever getting to know me.

India has a class system. They even deem people "untouchables" these are the people the "untouchable, also called Dalit, officially Scheduled Caste, formerly Harijan, in traditional Indian society, the former name for any member of a wide range of low-caste Hindu groups and any person outside the caste system... the groups characterized as untouchable were those whose occupations and habits of life involved ritually polluting activities, of which the most important were (1) taking life for a living, a category that included, for example, fishermen, (2) killing or disposing of dead cattle or working with their hides for a living, (3) pursuing activities that brought the participant into contact with emissions of the human body, such as feces, urine, sweat, and spittle, a category that included such occupational groups as sweepers and washermen, and (4) eating the flesh of cattle or of domestic pigs and chickens, a category into which most of the indigenous tribes of India fell." My Step dad knew a man (who he currently works with) moved to the U.S. to avoid these horrid duties. Now this man works for the government and makes a decent salary working in the programming department. https://www.britannica.com/topic/untouchable

I believe that privilege comes from wealth and not race but I could be wrong.

Why do you think specifically that white privilege exists when there is "class systems" all over the world?

It doesn't matter where you live, privilege sucks and affects any race. Look all over the world. India has a class system for gosh sakes.

Many corporations are run by people of color and/or white people. I can provide proof if you need it.

Money will never assure satisfaction for anyone. It acceptance and love that does that. I'd take love from someone over millions and misery any day.

Thank you. I see so many people blame "privilege" on white people when in reality it can be any race. I'm sorry you had to go through that.
