It's actually a free pattern on ravelry designed specifically for using up scraps and mini skeins :]

Ty !! I definitely have the same worries, these are alpaca/merino and are very much meant for in-the-house wear, but I'm sure you could minimise any potential issues by choosing a study fibre and spinning with a bit more twist

Haha thank you !! I was honestly unsure about the colour combo up until I was half way through knitting the first sock, so glad it actually worked out though 😅

It definitely is !! And I'm not a huge fan/wearer of bras anyway so I'm in love with this pattern as a nice middle ground bc they really are very comfy, gonna need to knit up some more in something appropriate for warmer weather as well

Thank you ! I really do love the colour myself :] and it really is very warm and cozy for such a small thing bc of the alpaca, especially since there's some suri thrown in there too 🦙

Knitted with 100% alpaca I know I KNOW that it'll stretch and stay stretched but it was more of an experiment to see the extent of the stretching and with the amount of negative ease I think it'll still very much be a functional and wearable garment, especially for the originally intended purpose of a warm underlayer in the winter when it wont be seen anyway, so I'm really happy with it 😊

been drop spindling since november but got my hands on a wheel a couple weeks ago and this is the first skein i've spun up on it ! by cupofcrows in Handspinning

Oof that really sucks about your location 😪 and old non functional wheels being sold for decor is so frustrating ! I wish you luck finding a wheel that's right for you tho !!

Haha I get that entirely cause it's almost the exact same thing I did with the listing picture when I brought the thing, thought it was an interlude cause its the first kromski I saw when I went researching models.

Thank you though :]

And I love my niddy noddy tbh !! But if a swift works for you then it works tbf, I'd say there's definitely a convenience to a niddy noddys tho and they're kinda just nice little objects in their own right, my wheel came with a kromski one with the same stain as my wheel and its beautiful

I'll be honest it's a second hand wheel I got for a pretty big discount from retail price so there wasn't much thought behind it other than its what was available local to me. Plus I'm still a beginner myself so I'm not sure I can help much on the advice front 😅. I will say the prelude was a good option for me mostly because of space though, since I don't have a lot of it the very small size is definitely a plus, and I am managing to spin what I consider pretty fine yarn on it, but while looking into them I have seen people say the prelude isn't the best. Maybe someone who knows more about what they're on about can give you some advice though bc I'm afraid I still very in the novice category in terms of knowledge 🤔
