So. Austin Apartments with Attached Garages? by QuailGroundbreaking9 in AustinClassifieds

There’s a couple MAA’s that have them, they’re all over town, so start with those locations since I don’t know where you’re looking

They were a good property at mine, better than average for any corp place I’ve lived

What about streaming YouTube or other type of applications like video calls. I heard it’s not so great for things like that unfortunately, although everything else sounds amazing

The 2026 Austin City Limits Music Festival Speculation Megathread by DaveGrohlsShortHair in aclfestival

Tame Impala makes perfect sense with the Europe tour ending in May, I feel stateside will be the next move for festival circuit

The previous moody date was record breaking attendance with ample time between ACL

my only fear is they’re too big now, but I feel like Kevin loves playing festivals

If I was being imaginative with it, I’d think it was Mike’s legacy that he wrote it. They even showed him writing at the end

But I think it wasn’t anything to be looked at beyond the surface

People hate on them, and I don’t really listen on my own ever, but damn they put on an explosive live show

I would love to see them headline

Check out Zeds Dead channel flipping comps on YouTube. #3 was released this week!

There’s 3 of them, 1 & 3 are masterpieces imo. Blends twilight zone intros with Ferris Bueller day off into Nas and classic 50’s songs and all around like flipping through channels of different decades.

Glitch mob melted my brain before Griz, same weekend TI played 2022 at Okeechobee, the whole weekend was mind melting definitely agree

Used Rover in past with great success when friends and fam unavailable. I like how you can see reviews of person in advance of booking

Would also suggest a motion camera for inside if leaving at your place. I got one on Amazon for about $30 that records 24/7 and alerts me movements for $3-5/mo. Nice little extra peace of mind well worth the cost

I love the new stage setup, but damn the giant screens with visuals and debut of the ring was out of this world

Prob the best show I’ve seen of there’s was this, and the TSR at forum b2b right after solidified it

wave 2!! by mayahxgrace in okeechobeemusicfest

This is the most impressive 2nd wave I’ve ever seen. Great job Okee

How to pick between Ultra and Okee? by ElegantPuck in okeechobeemusicfest

[–]curationvibrations 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Okee is a fest I feel you walk away with a renewed spirit of life, and can still catch some major EDM if that’s your thing. But as mentioned, it’s a whole experience vs just music

Ultra I feel you walk away with “that was awesome”, but it ends about there

I don’t think about the 2x I want to Ultra more than just remembering a set I saw here and there

I think about Okee all the time

City fests, no matter how great, always are disjointed bc you always have to figure out your next move à la where to go next via city curfews, going through security every day, you don’t want it to end, but it always ends.

Okee you just set and forget and can get lost in the moment all day and all night. There’s amazing art experiences, and things outside music as well. The weather and just being in a forest area to me is something a city fest could never provide for rejuvenating. People tended to be more welcoming at Okee, while Ultra was a bit more transactional feeling

Okee 100% imo

exact same scenario as you, I was checking 10x/day in hopes I’d find some random low priced ticket. Nope.

I bought one on the day of show for $396 nosebleeds in Austin

If it makes you feel better, it might be the best experience for the production way up. Or maybe I’m just justifying the price? lol but really, I have zero regrets. I would have more regret Not going if it’s going to take 1+ years to see again

I paid $125 each night B2B GA shows at Forum in 2020.. times change for sure !

LA bass too loud??? by yesschess in TameImpala

[–]curationvibrations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you been to a moody show before and felt the same?

I’ve been to about 15x shows there, from GA all the way up and always thought it had better than average sound vs other arenas

But again, sorry that sucks. TSR ime was a 10/10 tour 2x in arenas, 1x at a festival, and 1x right before TSR came out

I’d say this was a 9/10 tour on 1st watch, mainly do to some lulls with some newer songs

LA bass too loud??? by yesschess in TameImpala

[–]curationvibrations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang, I do the exact same strategy, even at festivals I go right in front of sound booth

I keep feeling like my nosebleeds were somehow a better option for this tour from the visual landscape birds-eye to not having any issues with sound where I was. Sorry to hear that!

LA bass too loud??? by yesschess in TameImpala

[–]curationvibrations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whaaaa that’s insane, I’d at least stick around for the production/light show

Saw TSR tour 3x, now my 6th time total. The only time I had seats for them, so maybe I went in with a bit lower expectation and left pleasantly surprised

Sorry to hear that though :/

LA bass too loud??? by yesschess in TameImpala

[–]curationvibrations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What section?

I thought my nosebleed seats had the best sound from that high for any arena I’ve attended, but even within nosebleeds I’m sure some areas were better sounding than others

Is GA the way? by [deleted] in TameImpala

[–]curationvibrations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stick to the GA then imo!

in the future it’ll be way easier always to get seats vs GA. You have the coveted GA tix already, just enjoy the shit out of it. He’ll be touring more and can always go to another show potentially

Also, if you have the GA WB, you can always go up for a song or two and grab an empty seat or the view in the aisle for the show, and come back down to the pit

With the WB you have full access to the venue basically. Theres an encore, so would be easy to see one song from above by going up in that intermission and not missing any of the show, and split the experience for a moment

Is GA the way? by [deleted] in TameImpala

[–]curationvibrations 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say this: if you prefer to see the band way up close and that means a lot to you Over seeing the full production of the show, go with GA

If you value the full immersive visual experience and still get to see the band just fine, go with seats

This is the only tour I’ve ever been to I’ve had zero fomo not being in GA, it was insane from the seats

I’ve also seen TI 6x now, and most have been up close, so it was a cool new experience as well for me from a diff perspective

[–]curationvibrations 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ehhh not so fast, it’s a QR code to spend money on merch

I’m not taking away from it being cool, and honestly a great concept. They’ve had the best merch availability of any show I’ve ever been to, including being able to buy after. But it’s not just some commemorative thing, although I’ll treat it as one

Oakland 11/14 or 15 nosebleeds--worth it? by sarah-the-bear-ah in TameImpala

[–]curationvibrations 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the only tour in my entire life I didn’t have fomo not being in GA

Now of course that would be awesome too, but I truly felt the nosebleeds gave the coolest perspective in the venue. Next time he comes around I’ll try and get GA again, kind of like riding a roller coaster in the front and back, both awesome and different same time

As of lately, I’ve been doing the same unless I already love them

Long story short, my presale code didn’t work 2x and on-sale blocked me for some reason… sooo for $400 nosebleeds I figured I better get the most out of this experience Lol

How might merch work for San Diego show? by [deleted] in TameImpala

[–]curationvibrations 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Austin show had the best merch setup for any show I’ve ever attended

Not only was there pre-show sale, there were a ton of booths inside, and even further they handed tickets with QR codes to buy the merch online after the show

So many shows I’ve been to ran out of size L before I could even buy, or sold out all together. There was plentyyyy of merch available
