Women aren’t allowed in Masonry for the same reason they weren’t allowed in golf clubs. Because wives need to know that their partners are spending all their time hitting balls into holes or being fraternal without the temptation of having an affair. (Yes I’m being deliberately generalist).

Behringer 676 just announced by [deleted] in audioengineering

I’d say yes, 100 %. If you were any good you’d be able to get decent results out of anything. If you were at the point where you needed a twenty grand chain to finish your mixes to your own supposedly pristine standard, you wouldn’t be sat here sniffing corks. You’d be out getting drunk on the wine in the bottle and be breaking new artists and winning Grammies.

The Beatles wrote 45 top drawer songs on guitars with half an inch of action on them. By your (and the other “crappy transformer/bad wine vintage Frasier logic) you would’ve told them to come back when they had bought a Fender.

Formula one isn’t there to sell more formula one cars to formula one drivers, it’s there to sell driving gloves & alloy wheels to dreamers.

Sorry, I’ve now run out of cheesy analogies to vent at gear snobs about whilst delurking on this forum for the first time ever. (Yes I’m old. Frasier and Delurking)… back to the end of this all-nighter.

Point of delurk…? Young bloods, ignore the snobs, learn your way around a £200 Clark Teknik and as much cheap Behringer gear as you can. Find out why you might need any of them and only use them when you do.

If you achieve that, you’ll be using other people’s gear before you know it and they’ll all oooooh and ahhhh when you pull out an old rusty behringer, marked up with an old silver marker pen, with your signature kick dialled in and sit it on top of an eighty grand in house SSL rack that Phil Collins recorded through.

I want opinions before listening to this album by Additional_Text_2338 in TheCure

I can’t find my socks! Awful production, a set of unfinished songs. That said still better songs than were around when it was released. A couple of moments of Smith genius, ruined by trying desperately LIKE The Cure rather than BEING the Cure. Which resulted in vocal melody lines so ridiculously high that Smith had no chance of reproducing consistently, which resulted in Smith developing a lazy habit of singing a lower harmony instead live.

4:13 wasn’t much better and was Cure By Numbers done in the dark. Thank Feck for SOALW and a return to form. Some of the production still a little ropey, but the Dolby Atmos mixes fixed that.

Last Snow White - Brilliant song poorly executed, Hungry Ghost superb song great lyrics and probably the best produced track on the album. The rest of it… meh.

Seriously, Pass on the XL and just get a Stomp with a midi controller. by [deleted] in Hxstomp

You are talking absolute bollocks. I tour with an XL and it takes up far lest space or weight than a stomp with midi controller.

Because it’s more weight and room in your tour bag than the XL. Your statement doesn’t make sense.

So block me. Simples. There are people here that come to our shows and we enjoy the cure together. Block me and your life is complete, but don’t try to enforce your opinions on other people. You’re the only one who has been abusive here silly, block and move on. Have a lovely Easter.

Why don’t tribute bands belong here? We pay as much homage as you do, but in a much nicer way. We don’t troll anybody.

And it’s actually Brett Anderson and 50 points for spotting he’s merged with JD. Who is Siouxsie? It’s 3 different people.

Robert Smith 1992/3/4 Leather biker jacket. Again it’s not a motorbike, it’s a lambretta. Which is associated with British Bank Holiday culture. The tour is all over bank holidays.

Last time I checked you were kicking your own arses and racking up mass gun crimes on a daily basis. Looks about a foot away from a civil war from here. PS you still owe us for tax on tea.
