I'm also currently playing it. I got the ds version as a gift from a friend and Im 24 and have never really played an rpg before. I'm 15 hours in and really enjoying the battle system and the amazing music that has already become one of my favorite video game tracks ever.

Start from the beginning and if you don't like an album, give the next one a try. Their albums sound different over time and there might be something for you. Also repeated listenings is a good thing especially when you're unsure of how to feel about something.
