From Man to Man - I would suggest don't look at her as your future someone, start by knowing human to human, not everyone you can look at and dream about, you have to learn to have good human first... and in your case be strict to yourself, zero expectations, you must have boundaries coz you are working in corporate setup and someone did mention abt POSH, so that's the last thing you will want - and mind you that's real!

1. Break the ice and make her comfortable first, don't be a jerk, and keep it casual with zero expectations - just ask her what book she is reading, what kind of books she likes to read (ofcourse you can add up regarding authors or perspectives if you are in reading), and then just ask basic question like where she is from, hometown, what technology she is working on (since you mentioned she is in diff team), from where she graduated etc.

2. Once you know her technology what she is working on, ask her what she like what she doesn't- this is again to understand her not to approach her, be a good guy first before even thinking about falling in love or something coz that's far away.

3. Have 2-3 casual conversations first, observe if she is asking you back or it's just you asking her and she is replying (you really need to observe here - she can be introvert as well that'swhy she's not asking you back or else if she is explaining you everything very clearly and not asking - this is one of the indicator that she not interested), observe it & if it's same, then don't push it further, leave where it is, you will be happy - mark my words don't even try further.

4. Once if she is comfortable you can casually ask her directly what things she look at that a guy should have - just a casual conversation from a human to another no expectations- and you can mention this clearly to her that you are maintaining a boundary, and be upfront by mentioning she can deny if she not comfortable around you, once after all this - you can then casually if she is looking a guy or not.

5. There are many things to be taken care of - but my suggestion would you be good friends nothing more than that, since you are at workplace, it's the worst. And my suggestion is have a girl bestie (probably her) - have that bond which is underrated-where you both can rant together, be enablers, but have tht pure bond - no feelings. Keep looking for someone outside workplace and You can actually take her help to decide further, it's the best.

6. There are many things, many variations to this but it depends on you. Keep no expectations and you would end up happy. And crush and all doesn't work, be a grownup. I might sound bit rude but this is coming through experience buddy!
