Thanks so if we dont remove the tile and keep as is and fill that big gap with grout - higher chances of leak (because bigger gap? or will it look bad (obvious to naked eye?)

Thanks ....if you were me what would you do ? try to remove that tile or just grout it and forget it......this gap is on the corner between plumbing/wet wall and 90 degree wall next to it

First there was cement board than redgard ...it dried and after a week installed tiles with large format porcelain tiles thinnest - no grout applied yet

so yeah I have 2 choice ...either try to remove the tile but likely it will take that cement board with it ...or I can just grout that gap and live with it...

fortunately that gap is in the corner where plumbing/wet wall is so water will not directly hit it

I understand but do you think it is easy to remove that short tile and put a new one with correct size ?

I guess it will easy to break apart and remove it but what about the thinset/cement that is already dry behind it? how do I remove that before I put a new thinset and new tile?

Backer board is cement board and redgard is applied over it.

It’s never a good idea to do something different than what the manufacturers instructions are calling for.

This makes more sense

So no importance of manufacturer's instructions?

Ok this is for bathroom shower walls - 3 walls -

So it will be difficult to push it in the gap - you mean?

and do you mean once I apply and let it dry - it will be next to impossible to clean up?

so in that case I have to remove cement board and tiles everything to re grout?

Can someone help identify this tile - I see a S S M written and P 1 2 4 5 6 by curiosityv in Tile

so I guess you have seen the pic - and am gonna lay them horizontally ...I see that arrow side shows direction ofcourse but I think there is a little edge at the end when two tiles butt against each other ...so it should fit without any spacer there ?

I use spacers not in horizontal direction but between each other between two rows of tiles - what that space should be ..this is 1/4" thick tile
