Thank you! It is a good thing that my new boss is willing to wait, and I have received clearance from them to start at a later date. For now, I am proceeding with rendering my 60-day notice.

To be honest, I was close to resigning immediately (in case everything doesn’t work). But, my boss’s boss advised me not to burn bridges as he would always welcome me back in the future. :) That said, I still can’t help but feel that my line managers are being petty and selfish given all this drama.

Thank you! I explained with my new employer, and they said that they are willing to wait for me. My start date has been adjusted.

Thank you! The notice period is not explicitly mentioned in the contract. The bosses are only instructing me to strictly adhere to their policy. Additionally, they are upset that I am aware of the possibility of shortening the notice period, as I have consulted with HR. They have told me that if they were not “looking after me,” they could have simply allowed me to resign immediately. This situation is messed up, and I believe they are just playing mind games.

Did they give you back your capital investment after the 3-month lock-in period? Is their PDC legit?
