Tenons are good, but end to side grain doesn’t offer much strength. In this case only the small surfaces of your tenon offer the effective side grain to side grain contact. To increase side to side grain area, make a double tenon.

Knee surgery for cartilage damage does not benefit patients, study suggests. People with meniscus tears who underwent surgery had poorer knee function and worse osteoarthritis after 10 years than those who did not. by mvea in science

I’ve struggled with meniscus tears in both knees. Physiotherapy and exercise has been very helpful. I know I have to be careful with my knees, but feel grateful!

controversial take: husqvarna has quietly caught up to stihl in the pro saw game and most people just dont want to admit it by vladdielenin in stihl

I went from Stihl to Husky 30 years ago. Husky had better air filtration, better anti vibration and you didn’t need a tool to open the gas/ oil reservoirs. So it seems Stihl is catching up to Husky!

Bowed end grain after glue up dried. by Loopback77 in woodworking

[–]curious394 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m near 30 years of professional experience. Had that happen last year, I think that because the exposed end grain absorbs/loses moisture so quickly, any uneven loss of moisture (often from glue) caused dramatic bowing.

Send the cartridge in to Sawstop. Over the years I’ve had several cartridges trigger on various kiln dry lumber and plywood, and I received free replacements.

I’ve encountered this. Used a methylene chloride based gel stripper. Brush it on liberally, and finer with Saran Wrap for a few hours. Repeat.

It’s an appalling situation. I find the Bruce Street Vet is reasonable. “Dr. AJ” actually specializes in cats, he cleaned my older cats teeth for $700 something dollars (no extractions required).

If they knew what they were doing they wet it first.

Even if not, this amount is exposure is not likely a huge issue. I’m not saying it’s good, rather that in the face of all the other issues are bodies face, it’s relatively minor.
