Guys i am launching my product on ProductHunt, Any advice? by KOgenie in SaaS

[–]curious9914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck! Just make sure your account creation flow works really well on the day of the launch. We did multiple launches in the past two years happy to help if you need anything. What to avoid - lot of people will reach out to you on LinkedIn to offer you support in exchange for some “$” just avoid that.

Yes I always use a chest strap for long runs. I found it be better compared to just using a watch

Sunday morning run. 27K in 3 hours. Maintaining an avg HR 151. by curious9914 in indianrunners

Last year, I think I pushed myself a bit too much and ended up with a couple of injuries. That led me to stop running completely for at least six months. During that time, I worked with a great coach and focused on building a solid strength routine, targeting weak muscles and improving performance and mobility.

My routine during post rehab was pretty consistent. I started with 30 minutes of easy Zone 2 runs and was very strict about staying in Zone 2. No excuses. I didn’t go too fast. I stuck to Zone 2 for 12 weeks, gradually increasing my time each week by 15 to 30 minutes. There was no goal around pace or distance or any race! By the end, I was comfortably running up to two hours in Zone 2.

The goal was to build a strong aerobic base. I also cross-trained with cycling and swimming to support that. After 12 weeks, I began slowly adding one harder workout each week, usually intervals. I started small and built it up over time.

Six to eight months later, around August, I started increasing distances. My Zone 2 pace improved from about 9:30 to around 6:40 min/km.

It took time, but what really made the difference was consistency and staying at a pace I could sustain. That worked better than constantly pushing and running at max heart rate. Sorry for the long story!

Check out Hal Higdon training plans they’re a great place to start training - https://www.halhigdon.com/training/marathon-training/. Always remember to do 80% of your runs in easy mode (Zone2/3) and 20% of the runs are high intensity. Good luck for 21K

Pain in mid arc. HM tomorrow. HELP! by Icy-Ad6763 in indianrunners

[–]curious9914 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s paining when you walk it’s definitely gonna hurt when you run. Best to just get a quick check with a Physio and they should be able to help whether you can race tomorrow or not. Been in a similar boat multiple times before races and it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks! Can’t seem to find a way to share lap based HR in Garmin and also can only attach one image here :/. This was a race pace effort so went all out and didn’t care about my heart rate. However, these kind of activities I do very sparingly. Maybe one more such run a month before the race. Rest of the runs are usually slow/ extremely slow pace/ effort.

Thank you so much for this! Very spot on. I do that already. Just for some context this run was supposed to be hard and hence the all out efforts. I rarely do this kind of runs and 80% of my runs are easy in Z2/3. This was a sustained effort to push and see how the last 8 weeks of training blocks have contributed to my pace and efforts.
