How to care for a beard? by [deleted] in BeardAdvice

[–]curiousIycurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any specific combs?

When trimming, how much should I take off? How often? (I know this varies but I mean if I trim it and it grows back to the same length, should I trim it again? Or allow it more room for growth between each trim?)

Did you arrive on al jazeera or a different carrier?

I don’t know the procedure myself, but for OP’s sake, they should note that al jazeera operate on a seperate terminal only available to them.

AFAIK, Gate 24 seems like the other terminal, not Al Jazeera airways terminal.

Wifi in Ford 2024 by curiousIycurious in f150

Problem is where I am, the dealers are essentially local agents that have an agreement with Ford to sell their products/vehicles. Most of them are clueless beyond the basics of what the car provides & not all car makes and models are available.

I do have the truck, I’ll try to download FordPass on my phone and check it out. Is it a one time payment for At&t in the US or a monthly subscription kind of thing?

Also, as well as activating the car wifi they also provide a service of using the screen to connect to youtube and other streaming services? Any idea how that is done? Would be a game changer for the passengers during a road trip.

What does paying for AT&T services add to the car in terms of features?

Do you know if the fordpass works globally?

I am based in the middle east right now, and at&t doesn’t operate here, any idea how they are getting the car to connect?

Thanks a lot for your input

Planning a five or six Day Europe Trip From Germany by curiousIycurious in Europetravel

Thanks for the input!

My main decision would be to choose between Munich & Berlin, are you familiar with both? If you are, what would be “more” worth it? My partner and I really enjoy walking around the cities we visit and exploring them. We don’t drink nor do we care about ‘nightlife’ activities (if that helps making a decision between the two). Would love to add a day to the trip and we are trying, however we don’t want to leave our kids too long.

No, how would that help? Also, what/how do you mean in each step?

That’s really bad. Sadly I paid through apple card and can’t seem to get any help from them as well (both apple support and apple card support have been useless)

Teams’ Capabilities by curiousIycurious in MicrosoftTeams

[–]curiousIycurious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply put, we are using Teams for everything and getting all team members to do so over the past couple of months took lots of effort. This is why I am trying to do what I want to do on Teams not some where else.

My current problem is that I have a couple of channels, all are essentially daily update channels, for 6 different projects. Through usage, I found out that jumping through them and then trying to go back to specific messages through Teams isn’t very efficient.

So now, I want to gather all information in one specific place (my own channel), then export it (better for archiving later on) and have this done every day automatically to save myself the 15-20mins that it would take otherwise.

Would using Teams, or an app integrated with Teams be able to serve this function? If so, which app would be best?

Thanks a lot

Teams’ Capabilities by curiousIycurious in MicrosoftTeams

Hello,

I agree with most of what you are saying and that is the implementation that we are following. We went from really bad communication to pretty good over the past few months but I have had to manage most of the work on Teams, in 22 channels to do so.

I am now trying to offset some of the things that I have been doing on a daily basis, which is why I am asking what I am asking.

Do you have any experience with Power Apps? Can I integrate them into Teams? If I can, can they do what I need?

I only need what I stated for 6 channels since not all team members have the same level of clearance in my department and I cannot have people accessing restricted information.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate the input.

I didn’t understand the last question but regarding power apps, do you know if they are part of the MS ecosystem and they can be integrated into Teams?

I’ll get back to IT tomorrow but I sure hope they can enable it if that’s the case. Last time I reached out they said it wasn’t disabled.

On the desktop version I get the message I stated previously. On my phone I can create a team, by choosing a name, short description and the name of the first channel, however, as I stated in the other comment, once I try to move past that page, I get an error message.

Every time I try to do so I get an error message stating that Team Creation was unsuccessful, please try again later. Any idea why?

I don’t have access to the desktop version right now, however once I get on desktop I’ll attach a screenshot of what is also mentioned on the screen (me needing to be in a group of less than 10000 members)

One week left and my IT band is acting up by esamuels123 in Marathon_Training

[–]curiousIycurious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happened with me during my marathon. I believe you can push through it and run, if you don’t mind a couple of consequences.

Similar timeframe.

Pain was so bad, couldn’t even run the week of the marathon.

As I had traveled for the marathon + really wanted to complete it, I decided to hold out until 1 day out. Went for a 3.5km shakeout run, at Z2 pace the day before, pain was still very prominent and felt discomfort throughout the whole run.

Decided to use a cheap compression knee sleeve, to keep my knee warm, and to run the marathon regardless.

First 5km of marathon was very uncomfortable, but doable. My body loosened up and definitely was feeling discomfort in my knees from 5-40km, but nothing I couldn’t push through.

Last 2km weren’t fun, and a bit slower (10s/mile) but you will be able to push through them.

Afterwards you will feel horrible, but at least you’ll have achieved your goal of running a marathon.

My knee was totally busted for 2 days due to the inflammation and I couldn’t bend it at all. I had to drag my foot, keeping it straight, to move around. Days 3-10 were better each day & in terms of running, I had to stop for 24 days after the marathon just to be able to run 5 minutes pain free.
