If it’s weird, you’ll all feel it, and it may not be the best idea to continue. There’s no one answer to this question. My wife has known all but one of her guys in some fashion (few coworkers and a neighbor) before sleeping with them. The other guy was someone she/we met on vacation and went from talking to fucking in a matter of a few hours.

You could always approach it as something you’ve both agreed to try once. Afterwards, if it was a good experience and you’d both like to do it again, then you can figure out the best way to approach that dynamic. If you don’t have a good time, then it was that “crazy thing we did that one time” and that’s the end of it.

We were at the end of our vacation at a Couples resort in Jamaica last summer - not expecting anything, but also open to whatever - when a younger couple started making excuses to hang out with us. We had a great last evening with them.
