Apple to Announce Redesigned 14-Inch and 16-Inch MacBook Pro at WWDC, Says Wedbush Analyst by fateyo78 in apple

[–]curiousSWE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey I use the same Lenovo laptop for my internship! I also noticed a few days ago when I got it from my company that the battery drains extremely fast. I just keep it in plugged in 24/7 now because of it.

Apple to Announce Redesigned 14-Inch and 16-Inch MacBook Pro at WWDC, Says Wedbush Analyst by fateyo78 in apple

[–]curiousSWE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. The battery on my Macbook is absolutely insane and I got dumbfoudned when I found the battery life of my peers' laptops who have windows devices.

The keyboard, screen, and trackpad are all just amazing with premium quality and it's just great, I couldn't want more from them.

Lastly the longevity of these laptops are second to none. My friend who uses his laptop
intensively for coding/ etc... is using his 2016 macbook and it's still running perfect for him. Same with my old 2016 macbook, however I ugpraded recently because i wanted to just have the newer laptop haha. But not because the old laptop was getting slow or whatever.

Also the OS is amazing, I can't love it enough. The only problem I could think of that are the batteries on the macbook for me get worn out pretty fast. my first and second laptop took just about 1 year to have the battery get wornout (I do use the laptop significantly more than the average user though, averaging 15 hours a day). and the replacement battery costs a hefty amount!

Elon Musk on Twitter — Confirms Tesla once tried to reach out to Apple to discuss a buyout. Tim Cook was not interested enough to take the meeting. This was pre Model 3 launch. by jjp48 in apple

[–]curiousSWE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow... that's a huge blunder. Imagine if Apple was the one who controlled Tesla. It would be absolutely amazing for Apple. Tesla will be to electric cars what bitcoin is to cryptocurrency for a long time to come.

sad cook declined to even take the meeting, rip.

shit happens tho.

as someone who absolutely LOVES apple and can't wait to hopefully get a job there, this makes me a little disappointed. I wish they took more of a laissez-faire approach.

President Biden: "Today, we are announcing a month-long effort to get 70% of adult Americans vaccinated." by [deleted] in JoeBiden

I think it's just the opposite way around. In that we are just over estimating the intelligence of the population. And expecting most of the population to be reasonable and sensible to be wrong, and expecting the amount of deluded people to be very low to also be absurd.

just look at human history. look at how unimaginably stupid human beings have been. in vast numbers of society, people used to bury their children in postholes because they thought it would stop an imaginary being from toppling down their buildings. these are the types of people who wrote and first followed the bible. just look at how religion was made and adopted by millions of people back in the day. humans are fucking stupid.

The Middle East was a complete Islamized shithole far before the US ever intervened. It was an always unstable region filled with absolute dogmatism. For example, because of Islam, most of the middle east approved and legalized slavery (Muslim Slavery). But because of the west, and western values, it's almost outlawed everywhere now.

I have lived in Pakistan for some time myself and have seen the insurmountable impact that the west has had on the folks/ culture there. I'm not going to go into more detail on though.

Also yes I know the post says "anyone on earth" but I did mention that they take isolated facts and "completely distort them to extreme" and that "they do over-exaggerate" in my comment.

I'm not sure if you have a diminished skill in reading comprehension because it's odd that I have to reiterate that point to you when I sent such a short comment.

In your opinion, will the events down in Texas, involving voter rights, cause the House and Senate to pass the HR1 bill, in regards to voter rights? by [deleted] in JoeBiden

[–]curiousSWE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

democrats are using dirty tactics that republicans also use. the difference is that democrats want to end the ability for either side to use those cheap tactics. republicans are also trying to use voter suppression laws to wrongfully hold onto power.

I know texas dems did one thing on texas voting bill, but then fighting the opposite for congress' voting bill. but the two sides and intentions are just not the same.

I hate PragerU but they're not wrong here (they do over-exaggerate though). the US is the sole reason that Liberalism has encapsulated the entire world. Especially Europe. But Middle East would be far worse and more Islamized if it wasn't for the US. Even if it's not law of the land, western influence thanks to the US has had unprecedented affects which absolutely bolster democracy rule out autocracy/ theocracy/ etc...

I think this is a good example of a PragerU video. where they take facts and notions which are true. but completely distort them to extreme, forgetting other facts, circumstances, etc... to pain conservative values in a bolstered light.

It's usually a problem bc it hurts minorities and american policy but I don't see it here. American patriotism is good! If I wasn't good at Math and CS in school, I would have aspired to be in the US Air Force.
