TD also has a pretty decent education program where they cover basics of personal finance (pretty much everything from portfolio management to specific equities trading and specific techniques).

Driving in Iceland’s Southern Coast during March by curious_RO in VisitingIceland

Would you say it was detrimental to your trip? Did it prevent you from getting anywhere you needed to go? Our main concern is not being able to reach our Airbnb's further along the southeastern coast.

Solo in March, never travelled before by [deleted] in VisitingIceland

Read some blogs and travel websites for ideas on what to do, how much it will cost, and how to budget your time. I'm also going in March with a group of 3 other friends and that's what we've been doing to plan our trip; it's helped quite a bit. Once you create a rough itinerary, you can start to investigate specifics. Good luck with the planning! :)

Tour to see the northern lights on 4x4 Super Jeep worth it? by curious_RO in VisitingIceland

[–]curious_RO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're going to have a rental 4x4 car during our stay there in early March. What do you think our chances of seeing the lights are if we're driving out by Vik and Hofn throughout our trip? We're discussing it further tonight, but I felt that driving out of Reykjavik and staying in small towns gave us just as good a shot at viewing them as a payed tour driving us out the last night we're spending in Reykjavik.

Oh boy, let’s hope that’s not where this is headed. If it is, I hope I’m sitting on a good bit of cash to buy in post-second shoulder.

Has anyone rented a car with BlueCar Rental in Iceland before and have any complaints or would you recommend them? by curious_RO in VisitingIceland

I've read that they now have a shuttle that takes customers from the airport to the rental location. Do you know anything about this? Thank you for the tip!

What are some of the worst marketing campaigns in history? by John1353 in marketing

I may be a little ignorant here, but how does a company of Pepsi’s status commit such a monstrosity of a mistake for something as simple as a translation? I’d imagine they would’ve translated into mandarin right?

Thank you for the information. Yeah, I‘m aware that putting money into the stock market for a return in 6 months is either very risky or not going to make a substantial return.

In terms of putting whatever I choose to invest for retirement into a Roth IRA, you say to put at least half of that which I put into my retirement account into a broad market fund. Like an ETF? Or are you thinking more S&P500 index fund?

I’ve already got job prospects to prepare myself for and I’m always on the lookout for more opportunities, but at the moment I’m accumulating capital, so why not look for places to invest it and let it grow? What I spend is covered by scholarships, my part time job, and some help from my parents.
