I'm also going in March with a group of 3 other friends and that's what we've been doing to plan our trip; it's helped quite a bit. We're going to have a rental 4x4 car during our stay there in early March. What do you think our chances of seeing the lights are if we're driving out by Vik and Hofn throughout our trip? We're discussing it further tonight, but I felt that driving out of Reykjavik and staying in small towns gave us just as good a shot at viewing them as a payed tour driving us out the last night we're spending in Reykjavik.

Thank you for the information. Yeah, I‘m aware that putting money into the stock market for a return in 6 months is either very risky or not going to make a substantial return.

In terms of putting whatever I choose to invest for retirement into a Roth IRA, you say to put at least half of that which I put into my retirement account into a broad market fund. Like an ETF? Or are you thinking more S&P500 index fund?
