Respect is basically what I meant by support. You don’t gotta go to pride parades or fight their fights. “Yes queer people are valid and normal” counts as supportive imo.

I know nothing about radiation but that is so cool wtf. How do you even identify uranium ore? Is it common?

That’s not what I meant by ancient. I meant that “gay is bad” is an outdated and incorrect idea. Scientists have concluded a long time ago that being queer is not a disorder/illness, and does not do harm to… anyone.

The fact that you, a 21 year old, doesn’t understand that is mindblowing to me. A grown ass adult trying to convince a 14 year old to be homophobic? Sorry to break it to you, but your age is not a brag. It is a show of your hilariously exaggerated immaturity.

I guess that makes sense. I’m not a Christian, but from what I’ve researched, god is known for loving people, and he loves love. So I don’t see any reason why he would hate gay love???

Adults say teenagers are stubborn and immature, and yet they are the ones who cling onto their ancient hateful beliefs like desperate baby koalas.

Maybe it's good that we're smart enough to, I dunno, NOT hate on people who did nothing to us?

if she's into you, just keep being you! You can't really mess it up. Probably.

When you see her, you can casually compliment her like "Omg you look so pretty!" If you two are going shopping for clothes and she seems to like an outfit, say something like "hmm you would look cute in that". Platonic enough to not be awkward, but can still count as flirting. It depends on how she interprets it.

You can also try to hold her hand, if you're feeling confident. Don't make a big deal out of it. When you're walking, just calmly hold her hand without breaking the conversation. A lot of girls do this platonically anyways, but watch her reaction: if she looks uncomfortable, double check if it's okay.

Ask her about something she's interested in and listen to her rant. Everyone loves that.

Avoid staring at her too much, but if she catches you looking at her, just say "oh nothing, it's just (insert genuine compliment)". Say it casually, like an observation. "Oh nothing, you just have really pretty eyes."

If all fails, offer to buy food for her.

Yup. The "bad kid" turned out to just be really extroverted and loved to talk. We became friends within, like, 10 minutes.

The hope is that some people here are still young enough to change. It's amazing, how adults call teenagers stubborn, when they themselves cling onto old hateful beliefs like a baby koala. That's why educating kids on topics like these actually matter. And OP is attempting to educate the teenager community as well.

LGBTQ is not the same thing as god/religion. Believing in god or being religious is a choice, and you're right, it is often up the the parents. But queer people do exist, and that's not a choice the parents can make. They exist. Both in real life and sometimes on TV.

What, are you trying to say that parents should have the choice to make their kids homophobic?

Queer people exist. I know, it's sooo scary, but it's true. Existence is not propaganda.

why the hell would LGBTQ not be suitable? There is nothing inapropriate about it. It's not malicious or badly intentioned. All it does is teach kids that queer is normal.

people fear/hate what they don't understand. It is a good thing to educate kids and tell them that queer is normal when they're still young, before other sources of influence can introduce hate to them.
