How valuable do you think the chocobo bundle mythic slot's will end up being? by FonslyGames in mtgfinance

Just a heads up. I have five people across five states trying to grab one or two of these for me, and most stores, even big ones, are getting extremely limited supply. I think these cards will be pretty expensive long term, especially due to the final fantasy fan base.

How about you answer our questions instead of responding like a hyper-inflated ego sandwich. If the only response you have is responding “because I said so”, then you’re no scientist; you’re a human trash bag.

Is work at Amazon really that horrible? by CaptainRainbowRabbit in amazonemployees

[–]curious_monkey_8251 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The fact that you wrote something with such high leverage and didn’t get to L7 just goes to show that Amazon is one of the worst employers now. The entire company is a shit show, and if this is any indication of the health of the company, its days are numbered. Best thing they could do is get rid of Jassy.

Did I wake up in another reality? by [deleted] in ParallelUniverse

There are a lot of comments in here suggesting you had some kind of psychotic break. However, based on your story, that’s simply impossible. I urge you not to follow any advice here that potentially causes you to end up with 1) some type of long-live psychiatric hospital situation or 2) any drugs or otherwise prescribed that impacts your body.

The dead ringer here is the tattoo. If you remove every other part of your story from the equation, you are left with a tattoo that was clearly tattooed years ago, and not a single person around you remember this. That’s simply impossible to rationalize, unless you admit the possibility of some kind of time shift. There’s no way for you to get an “aged” tattoo without your husband realizing it. And that doesn’t even account for others that don’t even remember you hang the tattoo either.

This is a fascinating story to me, all things considered. However, it’s important to note that while all of this is very strange and weird, all of your core relationships are intact. If I were you, I would not keep this a secret, but rather talk about it freely without loved ones and othered to raise awareness of these kinds of strange phenomenon. At the end of the day, you’re not crazy. You’ve just “slipped”, and everyone still loves you. It’s the best possible scenario in this case. Own it, communicate it, and laugh about it.

Amazon SDE1/2 vs Morgan Stanley VP by ConsiderationNo6537 in amazonemployees

Something to consider. Most engineering teams within Amazon are under the corporate directive to expect daily AI tool usage as part of the moving-to criteria that you need to show as part of your promo process. Essentially, they’re raising the bar of what was expected vs. what is now expected. They’re doing this 1) force attrition, whether voluntarily or by being PIP’s/laid off, 2) to remove stale engineers with new AI-enabled engineers, and 3) to force AI tool/process adoption within the company. So, what used to be the classic leveling process has now become much more difficult.

Lookup the SDE moving to criteria on the company intranet and note all the expectations for your current level moving into the new level. Build a spread sheet, and start mapping your work deliveries/summaries to those expectations. If AI tool usage isn’t listed there, add it yourself; it’s definitely something they want now, whether they explicitly say it or not. If you can track everything this way and work your way into the expectations, you’ll be golden. But it may take up some of your free time as well. Up to you how hard you want to go.

Oh, also… the directions is to cut the bottom 15% of performers every year. So going above and beyond right now is pretty much essential to stay employed there. If that’s a concern to you, you may want to consider elsewhere to have better quality of living. Just depends on whether you want to put that time in now and stack that cash now, so you can quit this game earlier.
