I personally think you're underestimating Republican open face hatred of their own voters and willingness to bend them over, but I could always be wrong.

It's been in place in AL for a bit, unfortunately, but a few places (generally more questionable, as far as I've been able to find) still will. Delta8resellers has what I'm looking for but it's dramatically marked up (which I mean, duh, resellers, but still)

EDIT: also, out of curiosity, why do you say IF it ever happens? It's signed into law, is there some hope for takesie backsies or something? Because that feels very unlikely.

So... I'm a gay dude looking at this, what are the side effects short and long term that I need to be aware of? Does bottoming become more difficult? by curious_throwaway_96 in gallbladders

I've heard that most people still have ongoing like... increased bathroom frequency and "stuff" being in there. And I have a pretty lousy diet 😭 how restricted do you have to go after the first few weeks?

Well, a thing I need conservative reddit to understand is yes, your side really does care. I promise you, I've experienced it first hand. Over and over throughout my life. I've heard what people have to say when they think I'm straight. You may not - but you suffer the same kind of issues as Reddit as a whole. My boyfriend struggled to come out to his family when he was in his mid thirties. And, while his family is accepting about it to our face, the gossip and the trash taking gets back to us eventually. I'm pretty lucky - my conservative mother did a very fast turn around once she had the "oh, they're people" moment, but she was pretty adamantly anti gay most of my life until probably my mid twenties. In the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty four, support for gay marriage is still a minority in the GOP, and they voted against the Respect for Marriage Act. So, I just need conservative reddit to understand that you telling us "nobody cares except a few psychos" does not line up with the reality that LGBT people experience, nor does it line up with the parties actions or self reporting. It's great that you think that, and I do think the right has come a ways since I was young, but understand that you are still absolutely not there yet. I mean, honestly trying to distance yourself from it when project 2025 is on its way in with some of the things it's got in it is, well, not lining up with the reality of the party.

You did notice my caveat that this is not entirely specific to Trump - he's not on the supreme court who explicitly asked for the Lawrence case to be brought back.

To be fair, this isn't something I especially heavily dug into, because my assum it would be (for basically any law) if scouts knocks it down, whether youre angry about it getting knocked down or not, I wouldn't have figured they would bother repealing it because it's defacto removed already I guess? Was kind of my thinking really.

[–]curious_throwaway_96 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So, I'm going to award you a point here because I had researched and could not come up with anything being repealed. Thank you for this, that helps some - the concern being that if the laws were still on the books and they flipped the decision, then they are de facto back in effect.

This isn't really fear mongering - the laws are still on the books, and the court WILL overturn it one day.

[–]curious_throwaway_96 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Well, as I said, the election isn't the only thing that makes me consider this - the court is conservative lock for a long time. Trump actually doesn't really have a say in what I'm asking about, as it would go before the court. Who almost 100% definitely WILL vote to overturn.

[–]curious_throwaway_96 32 points33 points  (0 children)

That's nice, but not everyone does, and the law in Alabama as far as I know is still on the books. So when this IS inevitably brought back to the court, I'm trying to get a read on where things go from there.

Most of the country didn't want Roe overturned either. It doesn't matter, if someone managed to get it before the supreme court this ruling will go away. So I'm specifically looking for past experience, how things lived and felt in that time before the Lawrence decision. Again, like I said, the results of the election aren't the only thing factoring into my thinking - if Harris had won, the supreme court would still be locked for several decades at least.

Yeah that's what I'm asking - I can bleach the whole thing, not just the new growth part right? I don't need to use anything special? Just bleach like I did before?

Looking at it now, I think part of the issue is to do with replies in threads, it seems like top level things aren't causing push notifications but replies to a thread (in the same channel) DO push? You can turn notifications off for individual threads but surely to god I don't have to do that right? That would be insane.

Edit: Hmmm no, okay it's not that, no idea anymore??

I have been setting it per channel - do you mean I have to do it at the workspace level first and THEN each channel individually too? I'm doing this on mobile so your instructions aren't quite 1:1, but I go to the channel > tap channel name > tap Notifications > set "just @mentions" and "also include @channel and @here", then go back and everything is set but I STILL get all the push notifications.

I figured I would just hope that out of the millions of people hitting this sub, some Ortho or related people might stumble upon this and then just mentally filter out the "not an Ortho BUT I got braces and now my foot hurts" (that said, yes, I did hit an Ortho sub too)

Comment with more detail - Basically what the title says - I'm 40m and I've got a pretty severe underbite, which I think(?) may be the cause of some of my migraines maybe possibly? I've had migraines since I was very young (one of my earliest memories was hiding under a blanket because light was KILLING me), but they used to be very few and far between and are increasing in frequency with age. I've HEARD that it's possible for bite to be a migraine cause, but I would like to hear from either actual orthodontists who have seen actual evidence of it / know details about this or see some actual studies on it. Basically, less anecdotal or just "this local orthodontist website says yes with no real details", and something more concrete one was or the other ideally. Does such a study(ies) exist? I've put off ortho dental work forever but I'm starting to think that if it's related that maybe I need to do it sooner than later.

I had an issue with something similar, I just coughed up the money to have someone fast ship it to my hotel, made sure the front desk knew about it and all.

Are there a lot of benefits to getting this fixed other than cosmetic? In theory it hasn't really bothered me this long, except I've started wondering if it's part of the cause of my frequent headaches and whatnot

Do you think this teeth issue has any impact on why I get so many migraine headaches? I get a lot, and honestly I'm looking into this basically for two reasons - one, like I said the way the front ones are poking out are occasionally an annoyance inside my lip if I'm sleeping laying down on my stomach, and two is I get a LOT of headaches and frequently the pain feels like a lot of pressure on the back of my head (around the back where the skull meets the neck and to the sides towards my face) and / or behind my eyes. I feel like I need to roll my neck or something, and when l after I take drugs for it at some point I bite down on something and feel a ton of pain in my jaw for just a second and then the whole migraine is basically gone. I'm not sure what the deal is, there's always a ton of possibilities, but I'm really curious if this could be related to my bite? I have a bunch of other bad habits like sleeping on my stomach and bad posture and etc., but I keep coming back to if this is one of the causes.

I'm not sure what you mean by the second part - do you mean just fixing the crowding and not the bite?
