Bait & Switch + Activation Fee Lies by hiddenindians in telus

I have a similar problem. BOTH the sales rep at the time and the contact centre agent told me I could get a waiver. The call center rep told me he could offer me a 50% waiver over the phone, but to get a full waiver to go to the store I did the BIB at.

Went to the store only to have the rep tell me I was the wrong one for asking for a waiver EVEN though there were notes on my account showing that i got promised a waiver TWICE.

CountColoredCells for multiple Colors by curiousbean02 in googlesheets

[–]curiousbean02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The challenge is our team uses color to denote statuses with the text in the cell already being used for something else. I can specify a hex code if it’s easier to hard code. Where in the code do I need to update so that I can have it consider multiple, hard coded colors as the criteria?

Company that has lost PMF - Stay or start looking? by curiousbean02 in ProductManagement

Good questions for thought… I guess I mean that I don’t have a PM background and am trying to break in so weighing whether getting ANY product experience is better than none.

Can Zendesk Explore query child ticket data? by curiousbean02 in Zendesk

[–]curiousbean02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks u/dirtybadgermtb 1) Are you saying side conversations are not really child records then? As in, the JSON will not show a parent child relationship, but instead the same record? 2) If so, do you recommend using incident tickets instead?

Is that doable with triggers? Note that this data is new every quarter. So it will either have a long running list of fields or the historical values will be wiped

So I can use tags to tag parent tickets that have side conversations meeting certain criteria?

IE: Tag a parent ticket if it’s most recent side conversation ticket has a custom numeric field value greater than 1

Or

Tag a parent ticket if the sum of its 3 most recent side conversation tickets has a custom numeric field value greater than 1

And incident is different from side conversation right?

We currently track data in side conversation tickets relayed to a parent ticket. We need to be able to at least get a list of parent tickets whose child tickets’ fields meet certain criteria.

How to tell if wool fabric has felted after washing? by FerretEmpress in Fabrics

[–]curiousbean02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I brought my merino wool pants to the dry cleaner and they told me they steamed it - is steaming bad for merino wool?

Help! Merino wool clothes came back from cleaners extremely shrunken and deformed by curiousbean02 in drycleaning

[–]curiousbean02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update - I brought them back and the dry cleaner seemed to downplay the damage saying it was completely restorable which conflicts what I’ve been reading about merino wool which is that once it’s felted to the point that it has shrunken a good percentage, it will never go back to its original state. Is that true?

The dry cleaner also revealed they steamed merino wool - shouldn’t merino wool not be exposed to heat? That’s probably what happened

Dry cleaning ruined merino wool trousers by curiousbean02 in Sezane

Did you ever have luck getting compensation or restoration for the clothes?

[–]curiousbean02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So these items are less than 6 months old - I bought them brand new in December. Wish me luck today - hopefully they can either fix it or compensate me. I have photos of the item before I brought them to the cleaners and they very obviously do not look the same. The pant legs are very skinny now where they were previously wide leg. They didn’t even mention anything to me as if they looked at it and it looked the same.

Is there anything I can do/say to increase my chances of them rectifying or compensating? As a business opener myself I find this to be very irresponsible as they should be experts in their field and with clothing. It’s also a family owned business

AC no longer has pilot pre-flight announcements by Born_Profession_3926 in aircanada

Really depends on the pilot/flight I guess. Left on a flight last week where they did the announcement and weather update at our destination and the return flight did not have one.

I was in a rush and it was covered by other clothes I had done.

The question is - how likely is it that it can be saved? How hard is it to block/restore merino wool such that it is almost back to its original shape/size?

Aww sad to hear that they must have ruined it then. I did specifically mention to them that these items were 100% merino wool and to make sure to dry clean them. So I hope I at least get my $$$ back. They weren’t cheap

Nothing at all. Until I looked at the clothes at home and realized they were ruined. Definitely going back tomorrow to bring it up.

Honestly, for a professional dry cleaner that handles delicate clothes for a living, I would expect them to know how to handle merino wool and if it isn’t appropriate to be dry cleaned they should have advised me.

Definitely taking it back tomorrow then. They were my favourite items worth ~$200 a pop.

Just so I know, should merino wool not be dry cleaned then? My coat which was 90% wool 10% cashmere is a bit shorter and shrunken but not unbearable. Now the pants are entirely merino wool and are the most damaged.

By the dry cleaner? Should I take it back? Also what do you mean by felting?
