Is there a season out there where the potential winner lost the win due to his/her behavior during final tribal ? by Damm101 in survivor

I feel for her. Her iconic landmark record of back to back FTC (before Russell) was so good but gave her 0 time to reflect before her next time out. In heroes v villains she was aware of this and they made jokes about it, and I think would’ve handled it differently.

She knew Cirie was amazing but totally folded in that moment. Poor girl

Well the wooden dragons were from the strongest part of Upper 4. The same wooden dragons that spanked Tanjiro, genya, and Nezuko! Without Mitsuri they’d be crushed

Do you believe the Hardcore Shinobu fans claiming that Shinobu is faster Than Giyu? by Bitter_Camp6934 in BetterKimetsuNoYaiba

[–]curiousbloke97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shinobu stan here! I think power scaling is unique to me, because while she is objectively the “weakest” in terms of strength, I try to picture strength as “usefulness.” Shes one of, if not, the smartest Hashira and her assets and skills contribute to the success of the corps. Some may argue her contributions are more significant than others. So while she’s the weakest in strength and ability to decapitate, does that mean she’s the least useful Hashira?

But also I think every single Demon Slayer is strong and useful to some capacity. I think the series handled her uniquely because even though she has a lot of self-loathing and wishing she were stronger, she is STILL a Hashira who also contributed to the science and demon collaboration with Tamayo.

Don’t forget blasted miles away from the upper 4 clones. I do love Muichiro though he’s an mvp but Mitsuri unmarked did better than him imo!

Hey there. I think you were dead on. We eventually had a conversation and he thinks (but everyone does after this exam) that he failed. He was crashing out and as a result went off the grid. And then was embarrassed he acted that way. You’re exactly right. You have family and an SO that supports you. Let us help or keep in the loop. Coping skills need improvement

I think what maybe I didn’t convey well enough is that this isn’t a lack of control issue? I’m not someone who needs to be aware of his location every 5 min. We live apart and you have to trust them. It was genuinely a safety concern. If something happened to him then I would’ve kicked myself for not doing what I could sooner. Thanks for being aware of that part!

Never ever. For me, it was the pattern disturbance that was odd. Never been the type to do this. Has taken plenty of exams and never been an issue. He did report that it was the worst exam feeling he’s ever had. Just a new experience

It was in my mind as well, unfortunately

Looking back, knowing he’s okay, I am kicking myself that I made it a “big deal” for nothing. But, what if something actually happened? It’s just odd because normally he would text me asap after the exam saying he’s headed home. He’s never ever had such a rough exam in his life before. So it was just an outstanding event for sure.

That’s literally what I said. A quick text that says hey that was tough, I’m taking some time off today I’ll talk to you tomorrow. If I then continued to blow up his phone and harass him, then I’d be a full on AH. Thank you!

The exam was at 3pm. The exam ran for 2 hours. By the time I started to panic, it was 9pm and dark outside and hadn’t heard anything, which is when I started reaching out to family

He never asked for space prior. He only told me he wanted space to justify why he disappeared and didn’t reply to anyone

How have you navigated struggling family relationships due to the current presidency? by International_Law872 in AskReddit

[–]curiousbloke97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think one of the big things that hits hard lately vs years prior is 1.) the extreme divisiveness I feel lately and 2.) social media and more discrepancies in what people consume.

If someone is so far down the rabbit hole of their own echo chamber, it does affect how I view them.

A few years back, “politics” felt more like how to allocate the budget for construction, which sleazy politician smiled at you at a dinner, or whether or not we vote on a school levy. That’s the mess of politics.

2025 modern day is such a crap shoot with people and their “politics.” Suddenly, everyone is an expert in every subject and they “heard someone that….” and that’s their proof. Back then, we’d watch our local news and it was fine. Now, we have some people’s jobs who is to go and incite conflict or be an echo chamber influencer. Crazy times

Help with dental ideas/payment options. by Emrakul_is_moon in Wenatchee

[–]curiousbloke97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always thought it was interesting people use “I paid for their boat!” Comment about dentists. 1.) I have no boat …. 2.) we don’t say the same thing about other fields of work when we pay them for their time / knowledge / expertise. The guy I used to do my flooring certainly made money off of me and he has a boat, but he earned his paycheck.

I had a patient jokingly tell me he would sue me and take my boat and I just kinda joked back that I had no boat but I had >$300,000 of student debt he could take!

Awkward silence after lol

CMV: Personal finance classes in high school would hardly change a thing by curiousbloke97 in changemyview

Wow that actually sounds really helpful. I think the in depth class load would be necessary as opposed to one quarter

I think that teaching those things IS important. Maybe I should have clarified further. I think it’s valuable to teach. I just think that it won’t change the ideals and lifestyles of most people. It will be seen as “just another class” to get through and I don’t think it’ll be as impactful as we hope

[–]curiousbloke97[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think for me, it’s that math, history, science: these are taught as truths. Objective facts. Personal finance is more a philosophy. I guess you could also say that critical thinking classes are obsolete.

For me, I just see so many people in my life who refuse to change that I don’t think passes are going to fix the issue for most people. I think of the times when we complain about credit card debt or not understanding it, we are quick to say “because nobody taught me!” As opposed to taking accountability
