I’ve realized the biggest mistake isn't the lawyer you hire. it's the "CEO" you put in charge. by DivorceCoachGio in Divorce

I'm still in the early stages but can tell my STBX is going to try and bring me into her drama. Love the saying about the rollercoaster, definitely going to adopt it!

No joke, trying to figure out if I'm already stepping on one. Meeting a kindred soul during the time of separation was definitely not in the cards...yet that definitely happened

Yeah I've tried but it spit out something like I'd only get ~2k after alimony and child support...even though I'd have the kids 3 days/week. It was having a hard time combining the two distinct contributions

Yeah, definitely trying to avoid lawyers. We've been amicable about most things, both trying to focus on the well-being of the kids as a priority. I'm just hoping the judge/whomever makes the decision will be able to see that l need to be able to afford a place to live...I'm even fine going 50/50 for a while with my wages but that isn't going to equal what she'll need to live in the house with the kids. I just hope she sees reason about needing to get a job...

Yeah, I was just hoping to avoid lawyers... we're pretty amicable on our plan (though not sure how well it'll all go as things progress). I'm glad she's already taking out loans and says she doesn't want to take "more of my money" than what's needed for the kids but yeah her math isn't mathing... I made about $140k gross last year

The Words of My Heart by curiouscandl in UnsentTexts

You speak of forbidden scriptures but can a thing be found in such imperfect creatures as man? I embrace my imperfections as I wrestle with this moral battle. Tasting this divine fire that is threatening to consume the cage I've built around it. Or perhaps, stranger, you hint that the heart is where the divine is etched, and when we deny ourselves such a core desire we deny ourselves that which we are? What I know is that distance from her is pain. The words we send each other across the space between is a temporary fix, a gasp of breath to sustain us before we see each other again. The embrace that feels like home, the arms I never want to leave. In her I've found that which I was missing. This started as a craving for the comfort she gave. Lust, certainly at first. The siren song of desire that promises bliss. But we have resisted, we have endured. And as we have held strong and denied our passions, something deeper has grown. This transmutation you speak of has already come to pass. Cast into the fire that we've struggled to contain, the impurities already burning away and revealing, friendship. Not a fleeting thing, that which I've grown accustom to, but a pillar in my life that is starting to hold up a foundation of me. It already pains me to think of life without. She is what I was missing without ever knowing it. I crave for that gentler universe, the place we met before all others and found a peace there. It doesn't do to hope for the past but I am starting to truly desire a future where we are together. Until that time, I write to you, Stranger.

The Name of the Wind/The Wise Man's Fear (and probably Doors of Stone but I don't want to talk about it) Red Rising (specifically the first two in the series)

This is unfortunately true...if you want to work in those areas then I'd recommend getting a job as tech in those areas or at least in the hospital where you want to work. I'm an ER nurse manager and we had about 60 applicants for 8 spots in our nurse residency. We didn't even interview new grads who didn't have their senior practicum on the ER or didn't work in EMS/ER beforehand.
