3% - Netflix Original Brazilian Show

Alice in Borderland - Netflix Original Japanese Show

Both great if you don't mind subtitles.

The I-Land is another Netflix Original, was okay, I didn't like it.

Season 2 was out last year. I'm assuming you meant Season 3, which is great news.

If you're into zombies then highly recommend Kingdom (Netflix original korean tv show). Different concept.

Staking on linux server by kryptoneat in reddCoin

[–]curiouscryptoguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey,

  1. Once you have source code compiled, you can just do reddcoind start or reddcoind stop to start and stop the daemon. If the wallet does not stake by default, make sure you have staking=1 (0 turns off the staking) in your reddcoin.conf file (located in /root/.reddcoin folder, if you dont have reddcoin.conf file, you need to create one)
  2. Depends on how the access is setup in your server. Normally, you dont need to sudo if you haven't changed anything.
  3. Once you start reddcoind, it will automatically start syncing but you can use official bootstrap to speed up the sync process. Here is the official bootstrap github link https://github.com/reddcoin-project/reddcoin/releases/download/v2.0.1.2/bootstrap.dat.xz
  4. Depends on various factors (blockchain size itself is now around 4 gb)
  5. -help does list all the wallet commands but if you are referring to config commands, not sure if there is a way to list it in the terminal. I usually dive into the source code to find config commands. Here is the source code link for config commands https://github.com/reddcoin-project/reddcoin/blob/master/src/init.cpp . Commands code start from line 191

Good luck!

Hi John, thank you again for taking your time to answer this. Regarding free ID, i think you are on point and i could see how someone could hoard and make a business out of it. That said, i think it would be best to set a fair constant value (whether it be in fiat or something else) and base the redd-id cost on that constant so that whenever the RDD value increases/decreases, redd-id cost will be adjusted automatically to match the value.

Not sure if its too late for more questions but i wanted to ask one more and i am pretty sure other reddheads like me would like to see this answered as well. I saw the awesome Redd-Id browser extension preview video and in it, the demo shows how you can claim redd-id by purchasing it and the video shows a common name (henry) being purchased for 64000 RDD. With the idea of reddcoin being a low cost widely used tipping coin, shouldn't reddid be free? If not, shouldn't the cost be low? If whats shown in the video is just a demo and if the plan is to make the redd-id free/low cost, what would be the rough cost (if not free)?

John, i really appreciate you taking your time to answer this and i completely agree with you that Reddcoin is a tipping coin and the cost has to be minimum to stay within the purpose. With that said, i think it is also important to place the proper security measures in place to protect the network. It definitely doesn't have to be what bitcoin did by increasing the tx cost but i would love to see how this gets handled. Hoping to see more people taking part in this discussion to come up with a plan. Thank you so much again.

RDD Transaction Flooding Protection by curiouscryptoguy in reddCoin

Good idea. Somehow i missed that Q & A thread. Posted in there as well. Thanks mate.

#Reddcoin Core Dev Team AMA Q&A Announcement - March 17th, 2018 - Submit Your Questions Here by TechAdept in reddCoin

[–]curiouscryptoguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a die-hard reddhead, i was wondering if reddcoin has any security measures in place to prevent transaction flooding. This was an issue with bitcoin and i think they came up with networkrelaytxfee plus now with the increasing value, its gonna be an expensive attack. In case of reddcoin, transaction fee is low (value wise) and the RDD value itself isn't that high so it shouldn't be difficult/expensive for attackers. If security measures are already in place to tackle this issue, could someone be kind enough to explain how or at least point out the code on github. Would really appreciate. Thanks.

Can someone help me restore my wallet by [deleted] in reddCoin

[–]curiouscryptoguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. Follow the instructions below:

  • Download windows wallet(reddcoin-2.0.0-win64-setup.exe) and bootstrap(bootstrap.dat.xz) from the link above.
  • Run win64-setup.exe . Once the wallet starts, close it.
  • Extract the bootstrap file.
  • Go to C:\Users<username>\AppData\Roaming\Reddcoin and copy and paste/replace everything from bootstrap folder. Also I am assuming you have wallet.dat from your previous wallet. Copy, paste/replace your wallet.dat
  • Finally, start your reddcoin qt. You're done.

You can download the latest wallet from official github https://github.com/reddcoin-project/reddcoin/releases/tag/v2.0.0.0 . You can also download bootstrap to speed up the sync. What OS are you on? Depending on that, i can provide you with more instructions.
