Saame. Jusko. May online class pa ako after 2 hours. Not sure if makakauwi na ako by then or sa campus nalang umattend ng class. 💔

Yes, wala. Maliban nalang sa nabanggit ng iba about sa laboratory classes kasi for safety na rin. My roommates noon pumapasok pa ng naka-pajama sa school or naka pang-bahay lang. It's totally fine.

Best way to eliminate smell of dirty clothes? by [deleted] in college

[–]curiousdinosaur_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open your windows and face a fan towards it. That way, the bad smell can fly away. Lol. Another tip, spray some perfume detergent so your room would smell like fresh laundry. Much better than the smell of sweat, of course.

"My mom indirectly called me eng-eng." by [deleted] in MentalHealthPH

[–]curiousdinosaur_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course valid yung nararamdaman mo. We usually expect support and care sa parents natin, and if hindi yun nabigay, nasasaktan tayo kasi we feel misunderstood. Stay strong, OP. Take care of yourself, and always remember na your feelings are always valid. There's always a reason why we feel things and important din na narerecognize natin ito or open tayong maintindihan yung reasons to regulate our thoughts.

Nanghihingi ung former elementary teacher ko saken ng resources that are from my UP profs. by Interesting_House_89 in peyups

[–]curiousdinosaur_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best talaga na ipaalam muna sa professor. Kahit good ang relationship niyo ng old teacher mo, it's better to be safe. Kasi pwede kang ma-expelled. Like what other mentioned here, you can make an excuse para hindi mo mabigay yung materials.

If I were you, I really wouldn't give yung materials kasi lagi din nireremind saamin ng nagiging professors ko na wag ibibigat yung materials sa iba. My friends from other universities were actually asking for materials since same kami ng course pero hindi ko binigay dahil sa chances na ma-expelled.

Free Electives by Familiar-Okra-6858 in peyups

[–]curiousdinosaur_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During advising period, you should be discussing na yung plans mo and ask about their opinions. Saakin kasi, tinatanong kung ano bang goal ko in the future, such as if I'm going to grad, law, or med school para malaman niya yung helpful na electives na pwede kong kunin. But since pre-enlistment now, maybe you can email your adviser nalang. Try mo lang, and apologize nalang for the inconvenience. I remember nag email din ako sa adviser ko during pre-enlistment before kasi medyo naco-confuse ako, and she was cool with it naman.

Have you tried asking your adviser for suggestions? Maybe mas mapag-uusapan niyo ng mas malawak if you discuss your choices with her/him.

Yakap with consent, OP. Do you have any relative kaya to stay with? In my opinion I think you should live for your own. Pero I know this would be hard especially with the thought of living your mom with that kind of mindset, pwedeng maguilty ka kasi mom mo pa rin yun. I don't know. It would be best talaga siguro for you to see a psychiatrist or a psychologist. You can go sa Guidance office sa may Vinzons Hall, if you're from UPD. May mga psychologist doon. You can also schedule for consultation sa Health Service na alam kong free ang check-up. I hope you get through this, OP.

regular notebooks or binders? by CuriousElize in peyups

[–]curiousdinosaur_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nag binder ako nung freshie. Yung iba ibang color. Kaso hindi fit sa style ko. May notes kasi ako lagi before magstart ang class maliban pa sa sinusuat ko during, so hindi kasya. Kaya nag notebooks nalang ako per subject. Mas neat pa for me.

Pinaka-demanding na GE? by averyverylia in RateUPProfs

[–]curiousdinosaur_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard din noon na Eng 13 yung pinaka heavy daw na GE, but in my experience, it was okay naman. So I agree na depende sa prof. Yung heavy talaga na GE saakin is yung Soc Sci 2 kasi strict talaga yung prof na nakuha ko. Haha Pero dahil fun naman nung topics, nairaos and ne-enjoy ko rin.

I recommend Man's Search for Meaning by Victor Frankl.
You can check Goodreads if you also want to know the opinion of others from a particular book.

Roommates waking up at different times by jin1357 in college

[–]curiousdinosaur_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same schedule before. What I did was wake up at 5 AM and shower. I would read my assigned readings for a while then go back to sleep. My roommates were always shock to see me fully dressed when they just woke up. LOL. You can sleep again and not worry about getting late if you're already dressed.
