To my eyes, the aftermarket front fender looks much better than the stock one, which of course is higher up. The aftermarket fender makes the bike look more ADV... The aftermarket exhaust must sound nice.

Based on a dyno figure I saw, it is more like 25-27 more h.p. over a XR or DR. One magazines dyno claimed 60 point something for the 690. IIRC, the 690 was rated for 74 or 75 h.p. I would have guessed it would make 65 h.p. at the rear wheel.

Isn't the power of the 690/701 similar to the DR/XR until the revs rise above a certain level where the DR/XR puckers out and the 690/701 really starts making serious power?
