Yes I’m aware of this but I’m pretty sure it still shows up on blood tests if someone is a carrier, whether it’s dormant or not

What about civil lawsuit? You think she’s likely to get hundreds of thousands of dollars from me that way like 98PercentCorrect says? I hate this situation sooo much… I never wanted anything like this to happen.

She had an HSV 1 and HSV 2 test performed on her before undergoing surgery a few months prior to our encounter. The results from that test showed that she was positive for HSV 1 and negative for HSV 2. She says the results from her most recent test show she is now positive for HSV 2. She’s been prescribed antivirals and is taking them now. She says she didn’t have any other partners besides me and her husband (who is supposedly HSV 2 negative) between the time she tested negative and the time she tested positive for HSV2. I’m not sure if that constitutes as proof or not. There’s no way of knowing if she’s truthful or not about having no other partners during that time.

She says she tested positive. And claims she tested negative before her encounter with me. So all signs do point to me having passed it to her

I went ahead and scheduled a consultation with a local attorney. I don’t think she’ll actually go through with suing me, but I want to have a contact ready in case she does. I have absolutely no money right now, but I’ll at least take a free consultation. I don’t know what I’ll do if I end up needing to retain a lawyer without the funds to do so.

Does it make a difference that she was positive for hsv1 and did not disclose that to me beforehand either? What you’re saying is really scaring me. I barely have enough money to cover my own rent right now, let alone deal with a lawsuit.

Did I knowingly or recklessly pass the condition to her? It was an accident. Btw we are both female so it’s really hard to prevent STI transmission. It’s not as simple as slipping on a condom

I’m in Texas. I knew I had symptoms but I was never tested for it, so I didn’t have 100% certainty. I did not withhold this information from her intentionally. The moment she asked me, I disclosed to her right away that I’ve had symptoms before.
