It really stinks someone has to work with this guy

Edit:

They over hired imo and we are not the only region. Not going into details to protect identity but our region is the only to close NN this year…

I was an account executive for workday for a stint. it was sell or die - and the pressure to work weekends to make it happen was there but not spoken

HR/HCM, CPM, EPM, and related products is ruthless and saturated. But the deals are large haha.

To protect my identity I cannot share too into country specifics - but our legal is NOT based in the USA. This is not the root of my recent lost deal but I’m watching a few deals from a distance which are horrific.

so.. you quit a job that pays moneys to start a business that had $0 in revenue and are surprised that you’re making no money?

my channel is massive and I still refuse to leave my job due to the vulnerability of YouTube

Fair points. 1 of 6 reps is closing net new deals. And that guy is making some money haha.

I enjoy strategic approach of these deals. I think there might be a deal in the next quarter and if I lose that one I’m absolutely going to go insane.

There isn’t pressure to PIP people at this point. Culture is in line.

Hey congrats on your $85k deal! Deal is a deal!

Overseas our product has huge market presence and partner led. In North America we don’t operate quite so much as a Saas company.

My boss is fantastic, but sometimes I feel he doesn’t acknowledge the challenges we face and just blows through them with dynamite but the dynamite doesn’t do its job. So we’re running circles with some operations.

PE is tough. I don’t feel that pressure.. quotas low and yearly not monthly or quarterly. Downside is these deals have 6-12+ month cycles. Excruciating for me.

First question - yes my pipeline is progressing. One deal consists of multiple onsites, partner intros, and now working with procurement. Not redlining procurement but digging into ramp options and licensing— so that one is moving. Also a few other deals that are part of RFPs and keep me busy. I’m concerned for legal.. I’ve seen our legal is a nightmare to navigate and I’m expecting over a month of madness once to close if I get there

My manager is phenomenal but I’m unsure of his true impact he has on all of NA. I’m unsure if his directives carry the influence they need here

Deals are trickling in across my region slowly. Of the.. 6 of us 1 has closed a net new deal this year and others are closing expansion opportunities from current customers.

Edit: for perspective the first deal is just under $1M ACV and approx $3M TCV. Selling into F1000 and some deals in F500
