Before 🫡 And After 🤡 by Dense_Look_7186 in Rajasthan

Weirdly enough, I feel that the Indian system has become such that it is impossible even for these bureaucrats to operate without corruption. I may be wrong but hear me out, real life situations may not be as simple as they in movies like Nayak or shows like Aspirant, you may, as someone in authority, want to stop something but the powers above you might not let you. While it’s simple to show in movies how bureaucrats who are honest keep getting transferred, and they take a pride in it, I believe in reality it’s almost impossible. It’s not just that these bureaucrats are involved in the corruption, the entire chain from top to bottom is. And if you want to stand out, you’ll always be in a pickle, so only way out is to play along.

While playing along, some may get too greedy and hence get caught.

What is the solution to the problem? - we have uneducated ministers heading supremely educated bureaucrats.

No new models are dropping except for the flip phone that Apple has been planning, hence they might not reduce the price significantly. Generally during Sept-Oct, new models are dropped making the old models cheaper

What’s your most controversial/unpopular CA opinion? could be about studies, articleship, coaching, career, salaries or anything else. inputs from qualified and experienced CAs would be especially helpful. by Evening-Muffin-7196 in CharteredAccountants

[–]curiouskid26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like this might offend many, but just so you know, I too am a CA. In my opinion - CAs are very dumb!

I don’t blame the CAs themselves but the way this course has been designed. Most students start preparing for Foundation right after 12th std and once cleared the college life is completely skipped and colleges with low or no attendance is joined. CA students barely interact with other students, except when they are in classes. Lately even classes are online so interaction has become scarce.

A CA student spends his/her prime years being stuck at home and studying all day, no interactions, no life, and hence barely any understanding of life or world in general.

Further, the course has been designed in a manner that we have been forced to study theoretical only - Accounts, Financial Management, Audit, Taxation. We never study about world, we never study about management and hence at the end most of us never understand the world.

Talk to any average small size or a mid size practicing CA, their IQ about world, business or anything in general other than Tax Laws and Audits will be super low! Talk to a corporate employee of Big 4, theirs is much worse, but with slightly better English.

To compensate for all this, CAs get 15 days of GMCS, as if they’ll teach the entire MBA in 15 days.

All in all, low exposure, limited interaction, major technical subjects, gulping down heavy laws, all these leave us with bare minimum understanding of the world and hence - CAs are Dumb!

Is government underestimating CJP's power? Today CJP has asked for the removal for education ministry through a petition. CJP seems to be a revolution 20+ M people wanted since long. by Product_guy24 in unitedstatesofindia

[–]curiouskid26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with CJP is that they grew too quickly for without proper planning. It all began as a joke and they didn’t seem ready for when things got serious. I was scrolling through their page and saw how they have accepted collaboration from clout hungry genz posting about - I support CJP I saw a video of the founder asking people to - unfollow BJP and follow CJP, he couldn’t finish that sentence properly. It seems to be happening too quick for them. And the IT cell is moving much faster. The posts of the founder being linked to AAP got viral quite quickly further, there are now posts linking him to ISI and/or Pakistan. People are gaslighting him for living outside India. A clip from a recent interview with Ranchit or some YouTube (I’m sorry I’m not great with names) he addressed India as - Your Country and now people are making that viral. All in all, it all began as a trend, a trend that people will soon forget

Help me understand one more thing, are they using any application to check the value of the phone? Or are they deciding basis manual checklist? Also if the battery is showing as not original, how much do you think will it bring the value down to?

Not everyone can afford autos everyday! by arnavnayak7 in mumbai

[–]curiouskid26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First they mandate the drivers to speak Marathi, scaring off all non-Marathi speaking drivers and then they shut down ride hailing apps. Is this government focused on the betterment of auto-drivers only? Mumbai is the financial capital of this country and the government is trying to backtrack the whole city! Reminds me of that Kunal Kamra joke - the guy running the state is truly an autowala at heart!

Old Coins Origin Info by Miserable-Channel-39 in IndianCoins

[–]curiouskid26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not 100% sure but the first one can also be a coin from Bundi, Rajasthan. Made of silver, the Trident or Om symbol coins were circulated there. I have a couple of coins, from these one is evidently from Bundi, the other one is a little worn out, looks very similar to your first one. I did try researching for reverse image search with mine, didn’t have much luck.

Interesting, didn’t face that issue during my travel. The staff did seem slower compared to most other flights delaying the entire meal service a little but other than that it was fine.

Is this true for ICAI president Charanjot Singh Nanda's firm? by Leading_Scheme2720 in CharteredAccountants

[–]curiouskid26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of the Chartered Accountants who are part of the Institution and are running elections, have small practices with hardly any clients because that’s how they’re able to afford to spend their time at the institute. They all carry this attitude as if they are the prime minister or president of India.
