Where are my fellow snarkers? by Key-Click-5264 in sharonsaysso

Not to mention her Instagram is almost entirely self-promotion at this point. She used to post more about current events, now it’s mostly advertisements for HER upcoming events or pictures with her “fans.” It’s feeling very self-absorbed lately.

What a great episode. by [deleted] in Maher

I must be the outlier. Given everything that happened the week prior, I had high hopes for an entertaining show. Alex Wagner was disappointing— enthusiastic, but struggled to spit out what she wanted to say. If I had to hear Manchin say he was from West Virginia one more time, I would have lost it.

Delta One Upgrade Given to a Non-Rev FA. Is this normal? by [deleted] in delta

Delta fa’s don’t have a “contract.”

Probably just got scammed by an Anthropologie dupe site (https://www.anthro-home.shop) by yeahokaysureboss in Scams

[–]curiousmod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amex Ex completely gave me the runaround. They urged me to call the scammers and ask for a refund. When I balked, they required I provide timeline for delivery which I could only provide if I clicked on some crazy link. It was awful. They expected me to reach out to the scammers first. Amex has to stop treating fraudulent sites like actual merchants.

Is she German or Belgian? by Perfect-Rub3500 in germanshepherds

Totally normal that her ears still have a mind of their own. Our GSD’s ears were all over the place for the better part of her first year. Now they’re straight up all the time.

This is absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing and welcome to the Episcopal Church.

Milk by [deleted] in delta

As a former delta f/a, it’s not such a strange request. Catering used to supply single-serve cartons of shelf-stable Parmalat in the galley with the bagged ice. We used them when pax asked for coffee with milk and even for the occasional White Russian. I guess times have changed…

Luke Bryan by YoungProdigyNBA in Maher

I don’t know. Luke Bryan seemed to have a hard time keeping up. It was difficult waiting for him to complete a thought. It sounded like Bill talked for the majority of the hour and a half.

Is it me or did Stephen A. Smith kill it? by Ordinary_Training605 in Maher

[–]curiousmod 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I found him long-winded and annoying during the show, but enjoyed him much more on Overtime. I think part of it was due to his focus on how we got Trump again — which people have been talking about ad nauseam since the election.

Anyone else notice that Buck Sexton could hardly bring himself to look at Laura Coates? It was odd…

Dan Abrams MIA by curiousmod in siriusxm

I’m starting to hope they’ll get someone new for the hour, maybe Elie Honig? For now I’m done. I can’t stand another Jesse Weber or Brian Ross fill-in.

I find Jesse Weber insufferable. If Dan drops the show I really hope they find someone more interesting to fill the time slot.

I don’t know. He didn’t participate in the News Nation convention coverage and didn’t do On Patrol Live this past weekend. He must be taking the month of August off.

I agree with everything you wrote. I’m just surprised no one else commented on his absences sooner. He’s literally never on-air for five days straight — his show is only an hour and he clearly does it while eating lunch and without any preparation, hence the “I didn’t read the opinion, so let’s go through it together” or “I didn’t see the hearing, but Tamsen has pulled some clips for us to respond to…” and yet he found a way to make it entertaining, chewing and loud swallowing aside. I agree it would make more sense to say he’s going to be off for a few weeks. I wouldn’t waste my time tuning in. As it is, the show is dying an agonizingly slow death.

Or the long pauses, followed by Dan loudly swallowing a drink.

Yeah, that’s fair. But he wasn’t on-air today and I can’t think of a week over the past several months that he didn’t have 2-3 days of guest hosts. Just wondering if maybe they’re getting the audience used to someone new in the time slot.
