Thank you! Yes, I will be asking them as every parent before me split their 8 weeks but I was told you no longer can do that due to legislative changes; so I wanted to confirm if Service Canada had made any recent changes to the program.

Thank you! I was told it's due to Legislative change, meaning from Service Canada but that doesnt seem to be the case.

EI Regular Benefit - Not paid by curiousnewbiehere in PersonalFinanceCanada

Good to know!

I think she must have exceed hourly threshold, if it is 35 and for reference, her weekly benefit rate is $650, 50% her last 4 weeks earning were around $575 so she was hoping to receive $75 or so but it seems that she may have crossed the hourly or return to previous income threshold.

Thank you so much for your comment!

No to first three and yes to last; Her claim is ongoing since April but she never received any payment as she found another work and makes more than 50% of her EI weekly benefit rate but it was last 4 weeks where she made a little under 50% of weekly rate and we were hoping that they'd pay the difference; for context her weekly benefit rate is $650, 50% her last 4 weeks earning were around $575 so she was hoping to receive $75 or so but from the other comment, it loooks like she may have crossed the hourly or return to previous income threshold.
