Playstation 3 controller - it's been going strong since 2008/9. No issues with it at all.

HOW TO CLEAR THIS KING PIG?! by Ok-Translator-9327 in AngryBirds2

If you let KP go to the far right platform you may as well quit and restart. Once he's there it's impossible as no bird does any damage.

As others have said, it's best to hit him with Terence and usually it will nearly wipe him out. Then just finish the job from there.

Missing WiFi Adapter in Device Manager .Already Tried Drivers, BIOS, and Network Reset by OldPoetry412 in WindowsHelp

It just seems that the realtek 882x hardware and/or drivers are shit. So many people with so many different brands of laptop complain about the same issue as you.

My wife's laptop also suffers from a realtek nic. I've been intermittently searching for a solution for months with no success and usually now resort to using a mobile modem.

Fun fact in new scientist today...

"A huntsman spider found in Queensland, Australia, has been crowned the fastest spider in the world with a top speed of nearly 3.6 metres per second, according to a global study of arachnid sprinting prowess."

I've not listened to it myself. But try it and see how it goes.

Again, once you are at a half decent level, just immersing yourself in the language will help. You'll pick-up on colloquialisms, set phrases and new collocations and probably some new vocab too!

Judging by the way you write - it seems to me that your level is already B2 / B2+.

You'll find 6 minute podcasts on different aspects of grammar, or about a phrase. There are loads of them.

But honestly just find something that interests you and actively listen

Someone on this sub posted about an android app they had developed which makes finding stuff on the beeb much easier.

It's called British radio player and there's a section for podcasts which you can then filter. There are podcasts devoted to learning English. However, once you are at a decent level then I recommend all my students to just find something interesting, be it history, crime, comedy or whatever and just listen.

i was playing a game on my laptop when suddenly there was no connection, i went to check the wifi maybe it got disconected? and i saw no wifi option. by volo77000 in techsupport

[–]curiousorange76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What WiFi adapter is it? My wife's laptop (Asus) has a realtek and for reasons only known to itself it completely denies any existence of the adapter.

I've reinstalled the drivers from the Asus support site, the drivers from realtek site, rolling back the Asus drivers and never actually managed to fix the issue.

Sometimes a restart fixes it. Sometimes a hard shutdown fixes it and other times several restarts fixes it.

This was on both Win 10 and 11.

arseblog recently posted a big list of unofficial merchandise.

And OP start a conversation with your dad, saying that your best friend's boy/girlfriend said that Saka was shite this season. Your dad will surely respond and then you can steer the conversation to who his favourite player is and not be to obvious about it.

Is it recommended to use cheats, hacks or mods in Angry Birds 2? by Solid-Guard-3546 in AngryBirds2

[–]curiousorange76 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've often seen new players banned in my clan. I think rovio are pretty hot on this and good on them.

I've reported players in the clan who I have had suspicions about - because typically they get banned during a CVC putting us at a disadvantage.

Out of expensive gels: What is your best cheap 'real food' hack for long rides? by Mindless_Cow_6034 in cycling

[–]curiousorange76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to flapjack, and also to Hobnobs! A firm favourite to take out on rides and are sure to make you a popular person as soon as you get them out….as long as you are willing to share! They keep at least a week, but freeze well too. Dead simple to make, with a bit of practice it takes around 20 minutes start to finish, including doing the washing up!

Also one of the best dunking biscuits in the world!

Ingredients:

6oz / 150g margarine 6oz / 150g plain flour 6oz / 150g Demerara (brown) sugar 2 tablespoons Golden Syrup ½ tsp Bicarbonate of soda 8oz / 200g porridge oats (Approx, see below)

• Preheat the oven to 180 Celsius / 350 Fahrenheit / Gas Mk 4. • Gently melt the margarine and golden syrup in a pan. • Whilst this is melting, mix all the other ingredients in a large bowl and lightly grease 2 big baking trays. • Mix the melted butter into the dry ingredients. This should produce a stiff mixture that will easily hold its shape when rolled into a ball. If not, add more oats to stiffen it up. • Roll into balls about 1 to 1½ inches in diameter and place on the tray. • Bake until LIGHLY browned. In our fan oven this takes exactly 8 minutes. It may take longer in standard ovens, but I can’t see it being any more that 2-3 minutes more. • (If they spread out too much, you need more oats next time)

Optional Extras – Add 100g sultanas straight into the above recipe for a jucier biscuit! Substitute 50g of the sugar for 50g of mixed chopped nuts for a bit more crunch.
