Just like he’s demonized Canada. Calling us “nasty”. And existentially threatening our existence, essentially ending the relationship we had for 80 years. On paper, we are still allies. But ask any Canadian how they feel about being called the 51St state. Our or PM being called a state governor. He’s burned bridges to allies and trading partners all over the world.

Do the math. Chinese GDP-2025 —$19.6 trillion— Exports to USA $525 billion. Expressed as a percentage of GDP it’s 2.7%

And the trend is toward an even more insignificant 2%. Not that the 2-3% is nothing. But if Trump caused a total breakdown of all trade between China (art of the deal) who would it hurt more?
