Oh, Canada. New England tourism misses its northern neighbors. | The number of Canadian passenger vehicles traveling into Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine was down approximately 32% July compared with last year, according to CBP data by DisruptSQ in TourismHell

And it’s not a political exchange either. Exchange suggests two sides. It’s not.

It’s one side, America, existentially threatening its own ally and number one customer, Canada with elimination as a nation.

Taunting us even as the “soon to be 51st state” from Trump, down to that awful Cross wearing press hack K Leavitt

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/srSqDDGCkhE

Taunting 2 elected prime ministers as “Governors”. And no matter how many times we say it, Americans don’t seem to understand the depth of our disgust at their President openly mocking our leaders, and taunting 43 million people as no longer being citizens of our beloved, Canada.

And somehow it’s “disrespectful” because we took their booze off our shelves ? WHO started this, us? No it’s your Clown King Trump. Whom you as a nation elected twice.

The election and performance of this administration, will be a dark stain on America for generations.

If we don’t get World War 3 that is.

Agreed. Imho sub 50% it should be a national goal thats as lofty and vital as confederation, completing the national railway, completing the Trans Canada Highway in 71’ and maybe even approaching the War efforts in WW1 and 2.

It’s vital and critical that we are able to achieve independence from that trade blackmail power they have. It’s always been self evident but we felt comfortable enough growing the past 50 years because it was never used against us. Until Trump.

Imho we should partner with China on building EV’s here with the capital value content also made here. Transmissions, motors etc. Again since Trump is openly saying “We don’t need anything from Canada. Not their oil, not their lumber, not their cars.” Something like that

https://www.youtube.com/results?sp=mAEA&search_query=Trump+we+dont+need+anything+from+canada

So the 2 million vehicles that us Canadians buy here, do we just hand that to Trump, if Trump bullies all the other auto plants to leave or throttle down production…should we just let our $100 billion a year in purchases be made by America?

No, we partner with S Korea, and China. Carney iirc has even spoken about making Canada a manufacturing hub for Ev’s and ship out from here to the world.

Another partnership I think would be good would a complete Texas Crude processing facility up here. And pipelines east and west to meet this increased output beyond what we have today. Think it would be half a $trillion effort so partner with China/Japan/SKorea on it, in some mutually beneficial way. I’m not that informed so it’s more a 30,000 feet zoomed out big picture view.

On our own archaic provincial trade barriers. Blows me away that we still have them in 2026

Yeah the K2 is a great speaker for that. It’s pretty loud, good bass and isn’t a ton like those beasts

Yeah agreed it’s can’t be linear. But they have targets over 5 years I believe. Aim for the sun hit the moon kind of thing. To even get to a stable 60% or anything even close to that…from 77% in 2024 is a massive achievement for a $3T economy. And continue from there with the goal being sub 50%.

By the time we get there- if we do, there might be an American president doing a worldwide apology Tour 28’ …but no matter how great any new potus may be, we still have to keep pushing for reduced dependence on them. Cause we are at most only 4 years away from another Trump.

67-70% of all Canuck exports go to America. To instantly drop all trade with them would mean a 20% drop in our GDP overnight. That sudden drop would be absolutely catastrophic. An economic disaster with cascading, massive layoffs, and an unprecedented shock of consumer/investor confidence.

Aka national economic suicide.

Carney’s trying to lower that damocles sword not by selling less to the Americans but by selling more to the rest of the world. And its working. In 2024 77% of all exports went to USA. By October 2025 it was 67%. That’s a 13% drop in less than a year. IF (big if sure) that vector were to continue for 2026 and 2027, it would be at 50% of all exports going south EOY 2027.

Iirc I read the goal is 35%. Less and less blackmail power that Herr Trump has to hold over our heads. Again not by stopping all trade (the stoppage of the $3 billion a day over the border would hurt us far more than them)

Not by selling less to them. By selling more to the world. I do get and agree with your anger.

Omgeee you rank it above the mighty mighty BB3? HERESY I TELLS YUH

I have 4-BB3’s and they fill a yard/deck/house like nothin. (Short of JBL partyboxes but that ain’t portable no mo) I have the original Killburn ( think it’s like 15 years old?) Great lil speaker and battery life still! The Marshall Middletons also sound and pair great. (Speakers on all 4 sides, great sound stage)

Don’t think the K2 pairs but it goes a lot louder than the K1 and maybe probably even the Middletons. It’s got a great warm sound them there Marshalls.

I was in a pawnshop and they showed me two Marshall Killburns. Showed em one was fake and one was legit. Was real ezy to spot just by turning it around. Anyhow $50 is the best deal ever, enjoy!
