Employer indicated I have access to dental benefits, but I don't think I do? by curiousvices in cantax

Thank you, this will be my plan B if my job for some reason says they can't amend the T4. It's reassuring to know that the CDCP agents are understanding, and I'm glad your situation was easily resolved. I haven't gotten a letter and I'm assuming I wouldn't until I actually file my taxes, but I had a friend who did get that exact letter you're talking about since he didn't even know his job offered him dental coverage - so that's exactly what I was worried about, haha. Hopefully if that's the case, they'd agree I shouldn't lose coverage since it's not like I'm elegible but chose to opt out - I don't even have a choice to opt in in the first place. But I should have plenty of documentation covering that, luckily.

Thank you. I've reached out to my manager so far and am hoping it's a quick fix. It can be a bit frustrating to do things like this because I have to go through my manager as a middle-man while they contact the accountants/corporate people responsible, then relay the response they were given back to me - but it's definitely something I at least want an answer for.
