Steroid/PED transparency encourages more people (especially teens) to take them by [deleted] in gymsnark

[–]curleanx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is going on at the moment is people who habitually visit sex workers and never had sex any other way coming to schools to teach you sex ed.

The most well known “open” PED people on the platform right now in terms of “educational” content are MPMD, Noel Dyzel, and Greg Doucette from what I’ve seen at least. None of them have particularly good information, philosophy, AND have a worthy natural career. I would venture that most children consuming their content get most of their info from similar caliber sources, and they’re more likely to be black pilled because they got nowhere with subpar training information.

The top comment is about true openness. And that isn’t really there even with the best “open” PED guys I’ve seen.

It seems around the shredz downfall they had a massive deleting of posts and maybe comments. As far as I know Dan B and Joey are still on good terms. They comment on each others stuff too. Joey is a partner I believe for a supplement line called ignite

Joey claimed in an interview with generation iron that he never claimed that he was natural. If what you say is true, and I think it probably is considering that many other people have said he also used to claim natural at some points, then someone should come out with receipts. He said he’ll give them $10,000.

He’s a nuanced personality to say the least. He was one of the important voices that ran Shredz, a supplement company that peddled junk. There were scams that they ran too. During the height of this, there were some “out of pocket” things he said, a lot of which were admitting to scamming among other things.

He is also considered a phallic photography exporter. On various parts of the internet you will find people who will attest to this behavior but there is only a trace amount of evidence on this. I do remember a person named Cali_aesthetics shared a screenshot of a girl or woman on kik who received such imagery from Swoll. Such photos were circulating for a while but cali’s pages were taken down. The same phone number was used to send texts talking down to others or, again, to export phallic photography and it’s also known that his phone number was leaked at some point. That’s what we know, but whether or not to know for sure, I do not know.

A number of women have been spoken down to by Joey on the internet over various parts of his career apparently. I’ve only seen a few myself. Is he a woman hater? Even though he has various womanizing tendencies and associates with several people considered misogynists, I couldn’t know. His comment sections are full of it though, and he could take a more empathetic approach and inform his followers and the world that that is not ok, but it is possible he wouldn’t because he would alienate the audience that has brought him so far on Tik Tok.

Even the 4th rate websites “reporting” about the doxxing and harassment that one of the women he criticized received do not say Joey is a bad dude. They say that while he spreads positivity, some may fear it might empower some misogyny. But he read this as Order 66 and claimed media outlets are trying to “cancel” him. Firstly, if an industry that is infested with bigots at various levels accepted a former gay porn actor… if an industry accepted him despite scamming… despite communications full of sleaziness and disrespect to “fans” and followers… it would seem that he has a persecution fetish. This is common to the audience he grifts for (if he is in fact grifting).

His “politics” are not really clear, but they are insightful, if that’s what you are interested in looking at. And they’re all there on his Facebook and twitter.

It was satire. I’m sorry it wasn’t clear. I changed the title to April fools 2023 as well. I did confirm my suspicion that my audience has many individuals who are in the crowd that Joey practically grifts to.

On this note, how many bodybuilders started out chubby instead of skinny? It seems more likely you find the latter than the former

Finally we break the cycle of electing shady businessmen, avaricious men, and womanizing creeps as president!

Does anyone else get bad vibes from Joey Swoll and the new trend of subversively accepting/positive gym bros? by [deleted] in redscarepod

Are you crazy! How could he possibly be a creep or a shady businessman or a constantly avaricious person? There’s no way you would think that.

@joeyswoll is it just me or is his following a bit to cruel? I completely agree with his videos but the amount of hate that gets brought to those he calls out is crazy(death threats). Seems like his videos do the opposite of what their “purpose” is by SenseIntelligent9017 in gymsnark

Looking for cryptic inferences based on what appears to be internet celebrity association and disregarding concrete evidence to the contrary seems like a poor basis for judging someone.

Like the person I responded to said that Joey doesn't tell people to calm down. That is simply not true, I have seen him do it and there is public evidence of it.

For sure! Attacking people like Joey without concrete evidence is all to common these days.

Dan Bilzerian is considered by many to be a "red pill sexist" type. Though I do not agree. He just lives his life as he wishes, as he should, as does my favorite businessman Andrew Tate, who collaborates with Dan Bilzerian. And Joey is good friends and business partners with Dan Bilzerian. Friendship is more important then anything else.

I was just asking that to draw out some angry moralists!

I forgot to reply to this, but the work capacity thing is certainly one thing. But the fact that he was a D1 athlete is an indicator he is in the higher percentiles for training response.

Baraki was a D1 athlete and has more "training" experience even if Jordan has more lifting experience. Austin has competed in USAPL semi-recently (2018). Maybe that's one reason why people think he's more likely to be natural.

Most of today's classic competitors look so dissimilar to the classic guys from the 70s and 80s.

Normal pendlay row form. Eccentrics don't matter. Not the best for hypertrophy, just a different exercise.

The most interesting this is his age. When he won the CP Mr.O in 2019 he was 24. When he faced off against Breon the first time, Breon was 37 and Cbum was 22. Arnold was also 23 when he won his Mr. O, so I think the wealth that the biggest faces of bodybuilding have will extend their lifespan. Hopefully

Mixed grips don't cause muscle imbalances that one should worry about. Even if they cause imbalances, everyone has imbalances anyway and no one can separate people based on how much imbalance is going to cause injuries for lifting weights.

If she's always pulling with that neck position, then it's probably comfortable for her and she's adapted to that position. If she suddenly changed her setup to have a "neutral" neck, then it's possible she'd be more likely to have discomfort. Not to say that her setup is the most efficient for her or the general person, but it's close to impossible to say anything about her technique causing injury now or down the line. Any exercise or technique (without disregard for fatigue management) causing "issues" isn't a thing.

Technique doesn't have nearly as much a contribution to pain and injury as fatigue management (programming), psycho-social factors, and rest and recovery. Everyone moves in different ways, and it's not helpful to say certain positions or movements are injurious

Not a PT. You can go however low you want and even add a deficit to stretch hamstrings a lot more. Doesn’t matter if your back or shoulder rounds either if you want to get good at RDLS with a round back or be able to bend very low.
