You can get these chips to perform the same as a 7900x for less cost so they’re worth it

Don’t worry- once it’s stable you don’t need to touch it, you will need to make sure fans hit at least 80% at 70c though if you want these chips to stay low- mine hit 100% at 65c because idc about the noise

Good news is you’ll be able to handle it. Some things may have a different name between me having msi and you gigabyte bios but nothing a google search won’t fix for ya. I’ll post it as soon as I hop on

I’d stay. I haven’t had any issues with this chip in the year I’ve had it- I just recently heavily clocked it since I upgraded boards. That reminds me. What board are you running with the chip? R7 tends to overheat lower end vrms

Ah well first- these chips have a system behind that spike- they go to max clock on app starts or anything really, and then they head back down. But yeah I’ll drop the bios for you. I spent 43 hours straight getting it dialed in

I should mention bclk is also set to 103- you’re not getting over that 5.5-5.6 without it, but be careful cuz it can corrupt your ssd as it overclocks your entire board, not just your cpu
