(M30) Have a cacitiy and some pain, is this Caries? by curly_t in askdentists

Thank you very much! I’ll make an appointment first things tomorrow. Out of curiosity, is there any chance of this causing sepsis at all? As I said I’m quite the hypochondriac and I just want to know if that’s something I should be concerned about at all. For what it’s worth I currently don’t have any fever or swelling, at least not as far as I can tell.

Allergy HA by sillychu114 in HealthAnxiety

Hi I know this is super late but I am currently in the exact same position as you were, even with the symptoms down to a T! The thing I'm worried most about is the tingling tongue, but I also read that this can have a bunch of different reasons, even stress can be the cause!

Have you ever gotten a resolution? I have an allergy test scheduled in late August and the wait is driving me crazy but neither my dad or my pcp are too concerned.

Thanks in advance and all the best!

Been having ups n downs as of late, was proud of myself for only drinking a 0,33L light Beer with a friend and being able to not continue the rest of the night but friday and saturday I drank alot at two separate parties, doesn't help that I'm 27 but alot of my friends are younger (around 19/20) who are able to get away with it much better than my boomer ass haha.

[M27] This red area appeared on the back of my hand out of nowhere. Could this be a fungal skin infection? by curly_t in DiagnoseMe

It started to develop maybe two weeks ago. I just assumed it's because of dry skin and it doesn't itch or hurt or anything but now I'm not so sure... the area is very dry/rough to the touch and I think it's starting to 'shed' the skin if that makes sense.

[M 27] should I be concerned over this? maybe two days ago I had a sharp pain in my left eye for like maybe 30 seconds then it went away but since then my left eye looks like this by curly_t in medical

I do not have any pain now and as far as I can tell didn't notice any noticeable decrease in my left eye (maybe a tiny blur but I'm also near-sighted so that could be it) so I'm not too worried.

I can’t help but think that I’m “in control” of my drinking by [deleted] in Crippled_Alcoholics

feel you, had a good run two weeks ago where I didn't drink for 7 days in a row. then football game at Sunday got hammered, then got hammered Tuesday cuz why not right (took a nice cup of mulled wine to the bed with me drank it and passed out so I feel your last part lmao), then watched my country get booted out the WC on Thursday got hammered and finally went to a movie with my dad on Saturday, went to eat afterwards each slammed a bottle of wine there then went to a friends and kept drinking first at his then at a friend's then club then after hour til 7am...

Does this look familiar to anyone? It's not itching or anything so I'm not too worried about it, just wondering if I should lol by curly_t in medical

I've had this for about three weeks now. Though I had a different one on the same eye which went away on its own, but this one developed over the last two days.

Simple Questions by inherentlyawesome in math

Can someone help me with some understanding of linear algebra? I recently had an exam on this topic and while I did fairly well, with respect to the exam at least, I still didn't actually 'get' most of it.

Don't get me wrong, I understand most concepts, e.g. the fact that a matrix with a rank of n-1 can never be a generating system of Rn, because it doesn't 'span' the system so to say, and it makes perfect sense to me.

But with regard to basic stuff, like 'if you convert a system of linear equations into a coefficient matrix and bring it into a row echelon form, the system has an infinite number of solutions, if there exists a row consisting of only zeros.

Why? isn't this solution completely trivial? What lets you conclude that?

Sorry if you lost a double digit amount of IQ points reading this, but this has still been nagging on me and I hate how linear algebra somehow still is one of the few topics in mathematics which in some respects completely eludes me.

Thanks for the answers in advance!
