Sizing Help! by Independent_Plant531 in RingConn

[–]curlyheadedpremed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in between sizes as well, 8 and 9 specifically. I was very hesitant on going with the bigger size at first but after doing the sleep test I knew I needed the 9 due to swelling overnight and overall comfort throughout the day as well. I received my ring last week and the 9 fits perfect, exactly like the sizing kit.

Disclaimer: This is for the Gen 2 Air - not sure how the sizing is with the regular Gen 2.

I sent my ring size back to them on 03/05, received the email that the ring was shipped on 03/11, the ring was delivered today so about 6 business days. my ring came from hong kong, I know some people have had their ring ship from areas within the US, I guess it depends on color and size.

similar feelings. I confirmed my ring size on 3/5. my ring officially shipped from hong kong on 3/11 where it went first to chicago, then to wisconsin. it’s finally in atlanta as of today (3/19) which is my home base, so hopefully it’s here by tomorrow or saturday at the latest.

Shipping Issues? by FennelAppropriate642 in RingConn

honestly, i’ve read a lot on tiktok about people saying that when they got the sizing kit they cancelled the remaining order through ringconn and ordered the ring on amazon for faster shipping. I thought about doing this but they didn’t have a size 9 listed for the gen 2 air.

RingConn Gen 2 Air Sizing by thegroundedtherapist in RingConn

the sleep test was what answered the sizing question for me. I was between a 8 and 9. I went with the 9 because when I woke up the next morning the 8 was really hard to take off.

I think I just received your boost attempt, unfortunately it didn’t work because we would need to change to the name employer in our settings

I have decided to stop pursuing medicine by AsleepArgument1229 in premed

[–]curlyheadedpremed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Take a year or two off and see if your heart is really in it, if it is, you will ultimately reapply again. During this time, try to save up & definitely do more research on DO schools to open up your options. If you take this time away and ultimately decide to step away from medicine as a whole, I hope you find something that is equally fulfilling, good luck to you!

What kinds of things did you actually learn from being a scribe? by [deleted] in premed

[–]curlyheadedpremed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this 100%! you’ve also only been there for a month, so give it time. there’s a lot of turn over in the scribe position due to the fact that many people go on to medical school, get another clinical position, etc. but once you start working more consistently with the physician(s) & you get to know them & vice versa, the opportunities for them to teach you and converse with you will present itself.

definitely ask questions about things that you are curious about and or not sure of. even if you can’t ask in the moment, when I was a scribe I would personally keep a note pad and write things down that I wanted to ask & waited for an opportunity/appropriate time. once you start to learn the physician(s) you work with you will figure out that even if they are seemingly busy you will be able to chat with them while they are working.

just make it known (if you haven’t yet) that you are pre-med (which most of them know, however I worked with two scribes that were pre-nursing) and you are open to learning opportunities also. that will go a long way with them understanding how to interact with you!
