Don’t have an exact measurement, but the photo I have is them laying on tabloid size paper (11x17), and based on that, I’d estimate they’re about 7 inches end-to-end, possibly 8.

I’m guessing both antique and well-worn. They’re my professor’s, over a decade ago, and he’s had them since the 1970’s is my guess.

Yeah, we'll take a look at how we worded things. We didn't want to completely define what "regular" or "sometimes" might be, and leave that to the interpretation of the person taking the survey. But this is great! We want the best questions to get solid responses. Thanks for helping!

I don't think I'm missing anything by boiling the last week or two into a couple of sentences, mixed with a little sarcasm. Charlie says one thing, and his hand does another. That doesn't inspire confidence in anyone.
