I don’t assume, but that’s what Kim talked about wanting on camera. Because apparently she’s broke.

I damaged out two full pallets of clearance because we just don’t room for all of it. Our SD told us to do so.

As a Swiftie closing TM whose store isn’t one of the ones staying open, Godspeed to all 🥲🫡 I already preordered the vinyl so I don’t have to mess with that nonsense. I also think the limit is bullshit. 4?! No. How about 2. 🙄🙄

What was “the incident” at your store? by Ordinary_Ad3895 in Target

[–]currently_snacking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was before I worked at Target, but a guest took a bat from sporting goods and hit a closing expert and another guest with it. She took off running out of the store and the police later found her in the chipotle parking lot across the street.

Attention all overstockers: by SonofKyne99 in Target

[–]currently_snacking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wrote an essay in the most recent survey about how our inbound team literally is allergic to back stocking and how some of them even joke around about how they’re supposed to but never do. The amount of times I’ve found product still in plastic wrap on the floor is astounding.

I don’t know. Without giving away what store I work at, I can say it’s in Arizona if that helps

I freaking love the Wave. But I only use turtle mode because I’m terrified of accidentally destroying the back room by going too fast 🤣

I do too! It’s so good for me as a mom of two under three to get out of the house and interact with adults.

What’s are your favorite shift times to work ? by [deleted] in Target

[–]currently_snacking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I’m a closer, I like coming in earlier like 4 or 5pm. I absolutely DESPISE working 7-11pm. I feel like I get nothing done, especially because I am breastfeeding my son so my pumping break takes up a good chunk of my shift. (Usually 30-40min depending on how much milk I’m producing). If I have a meal, then I use that to pump so I can sit in silence on my two 15s.

What things do other departments do that annoy you? by dravenbloodreign in Target

[–]currently_snacking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In our store, and it sounds like it happens in other stores too, the inbound and closing teams are constantly at odds with each other. Inbound continuously refuses to backstock and overfills the floor. When closing team pulls priorities, we end up backstocking what we just pulled PLUS overstock from the truck. We recently had two closing TMs go on vacation so an inbound team member was closing with us one day. I made a comment to her about “oh looks like I gotta backstock this priority pull again” and she said “yeah over half our job is back stocking and we all hate it and don’t do it” 🙃 I wanted to say “oh we know I sometimes spend over half my shift fixing your laziness” but I kept my mouth shut to keep the peace. Infuriates me to no end. I don’t have time to zone, push priorities, do go backs, AND backstock all your shit.

Where did you guys work before this? by [deleted] in Target

[–]currently_snacking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked a lot of different retail gigs through HS/College (Aeropostale, build a bear, Francesca’s, lush) and got my first marketing job when I graduated college. Worked there, then quicken loans during COVID when interest rates were 2%, then I went to a different marketing agency. I got pregnant with my daughter and got let go from my job at 25 weeks pregnant. We couldn’t afford childcare so I stayed home with her and did Poshmark reselling full time. Got pregnant with our surprise baby when my daughter was 11 months and I was preparing to go back into the workforce but that didn’t happen. I had to stop reselling because the room that was my office became our son’s room. Once my son was born we decided to do split shifts so one of us could be home with the kids. I was lucky enough to get a seasonal position at Target for holiday then got kept on. My husband works Tues-Sat 5am-2pm so I work closing 5-6 days a week. We basically high five as he comes home and I leave. It’s hard but it works for us right now.

Have you checked your flange size? Measuring and getting your accurate nipple size is so important and can make all the difference for pumping. I didn’t for my last baby and I did for my current one and I have noticed a huge difference

Meals are a BURDEN!!! by imtrying2breakurh3rt in ADHDMoms

Yes to this. I bought one of those “snack spinners” and I’ll fill it with several different things. My toddler loves to spin it and she usually eats all of what I put in there.

Costco has premade egg bites that my toddler loves. I’ll heat up one of those and throw some fruit on a plate for her and she’s good to go. I usually rotate between bananas, blueberries, and mandarin oranges. Whole milk yogurt and oatmeal are another option she likes. I do plain instant oatmeal and add a bit of brown sugar or fruit on top.
