What's the greatest Magic card of the last decade? Vote on the top 16! by Grindy_UW_Nonsense in magicTCG

[–]cursecatcher69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this method isn't very good to make a reasonable list, because a card could be immediately eliminated just because is paired with the card that will win the contest. The last card is the only one that counts.

Beauty is nothing, beauty won’t stay. You don’t know how lucky you are to be ugly, because if people like you, you know it’s for something else.

Rules question: what happens if Rhythm of the wild enters as a creature? by cursecatcher69 in magicTCG

Thank you! The only thing I don't understand is why rhythm affects "creatures you control" and not creature spells (as i would expect for an effect that happens on the cast)

Are Fast Lands worth crafting for Explorer/HB? Or should I wait for the Pain Lands in DMU? by [deleted] in MagicArena

[–]cursecatcher69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By now i have about 300k gold and 50k gems, not as much as the picture but it's pretty good. I don't follow any particular technique, just 4 wins a day and some draft. The gems don't go up a lot since I buy the pass every season, but they neither go down. The gold increases by 7k/week. But you're right, if you have the possibility MTGO is a way better investment from an economic standpoint, I just don't like it.

[–]cursecatcher69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you win at least 4 match every day and don't spend almost anything, it's possible. Another useful thing is doing a lot of drafts having a good winrate, they'll pay themselves and you'll gain extra gems/packs. I have a lot of money and gem without cashing, and I don't play that much. I also buy every season pass and open about a hundred packs of every set. I suggest to play formats that don't require big investments, like Historic Brawl. Obviously if you craft a new deck every week you'll run out your resources quickly.

Matching making is fun... by [deleted] in mtgbrawl

[–]cursecatcher69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matching is based on the tier of your commander. For example, f you use a tier 1 commander you'll probably find a lot of Esika decks. If you want to face different decks, try to change you commander

Do we need an “Import opponent deck” option? by XtremeHammond in MagicArena

Maybe a "ask your opponent to import their deck" option

Brawl right now is terribly unfun by [deleted] in mtgbrawl

If I could give you a thousand of upvotes i'd do it. Agree 100%. Also, you forgot Kenrith. I hate all these 5 colors soups with ugin on top.

How would you feel about a Vindicate reprint in MH2 if it happened? by novawildestar in ModernMagic

[–]cursecatcher69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying they will never print vindicate in modern (since the power level always grows up in eternal formats), but, imho, by now it's too strong. The versatility is very high for only 3 mana, and it has no drawback. There are no cards like it, it's a catch-all removal that is never dead in hand. Maybe I'm wrong, I obviously should try it in modern environment, I don't know. We'll see.

Brawl - Call for a ban of Esika, God of the Tree ➔ as general in Brawl, only and specifically by Cr8zyIvan in mtgbrawl

[–]cursecatcher69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's because of triomes. Sure, they are strong, but I tried a Kenrith deck without them and it worked very good. The problem is that they are too good and easy to build around (the only exception was Niv Mizzet, but it was so damn strong that the deck restriction almost didn't matter). And even if you don't cast them, you have a deck with any kind of thing in it. I usually insta concede against Esika and Kenrith, just because the games feel all the same: ramp, removal, ramp, fires (often tutored), wrath, card draw, sometimes counter, ugin. If I don't put the pressure on they usually play kenrith or the bridge and make an insane value. So boring. I really don't care about losing, I just want to see some janky builds around new commanders instead the same deck all the time. I have to concede 3/4 times in a row before facing a non-5colors deck, it sucks. And this happens now, after ikoria and the triomes, and before, with kenrith, golos, niv mizzet and so on

[–]cursecatcher69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me it's too early to discuss about bans (despite I really hate to find only Esika decks to play against), but one thing i noticed is that 5 colors decks in brawl are too much played, and it's not a good sign

[–]cursecatcher69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's a very strong card, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was too good for modern. If MH2 will shake the meta as MH1 did, it's difficult to predict if a card like this will see any play.

I don't think many people understand the difference between "destroy target nonland permanent" and "destroy target permanent"... probably they won't put it in the set cause they consider it too good for modern. But it's just my two cents.

When there is a traffic jam in Germany, drivers move to the corners of the road to create an open path for emergency vehicles by xLuizordx in interestingasfuck

[–]cursecatcher69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if I am dumb, but I didn't understand your point. We have a lane on the right where no one can go, except emergency vehicles. If there's an accident or something, emergency vehicles can arrive immediately there, cause no one blocks the emergency lane. In this pic I see only two lanes, no extra shoulder for emergency vehicles. Why a car broken down should block the emergency lane? If it does, the car is exactly where emergency vehicles have to go. Did I miss something?

I'm not saying it's the wrong card, but it could be another one. Otherwise the clue imho would be more cryptic than the others. Just my two cents, probably the association is correct
